Three Nickelodeon shows are getting a mix-up on Netflix (in the US). Two fan-favorites are getting an older season re-added, while another show is set to leave entirely.

iCarly, starring Miranda Cosgrove and Jennette McCurdy, has now been back on Netflix in 2021, although it got a season shakeup in 2023. The same also applies to Henry Danger getting a similar shake-up with the caveat that Netflix also bagged the rights to the follow-up series, Danger Force. Much like NCIS, which lost its earlier seasons and was later re-added, that’s now happening with these two Nickelodeon shows with the first season of each coming back.

These early seasons are scheduled to touchdown on Netflix (in the United States) on March 31st, 2025. Even with season 1 returning, Netflix will still be missing some seasons.

For Henry Danger, Netflix will stream seasons 1, 4, and 5, while seasons 2 and 3 will only be available on Paramount+ for the foreseeable future.

The Make-Up Artists & Hair Stylists Guild Awards honored top talent in film, television, music videos, and live theater on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at The Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel. The event, presented by L’Oréal Groupe and Giovanni Eco Chic Beauty, took place before a live audience and was streamed worldwide on YouTube and Vimeo.

In film categories, The Substance and Wicked each earned two awards. The Substance was recognized for Best Contemporary Make-Up and Best Special Make-Up Effects, while Wicked received awards in Best Period and/or Character Make-Up and Best Period and/or Character Hair Styling. These wins celebrated the work of artists whose efforts shape the visual identity of the films.

Television categories also saw significant achievements. The Make-Up and Hair Stylists Guild announced its 12th Annual Muahs Awards in 23 film, TV, music, and theater categories on Saturday night, honoring top Oscar contenders The Substance and Wicked with a pair of awards apiece and The Last Showgirl with a single win in the five motion picture categories during ceremonies at the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel that were livestreamed via YouTube and Vimeo. The Substance took home trophies for contemporary make-up and special make-up effects, while Wicked was cited for period/character make-up and period/character hair styling. In television, no show was more dominant than Saturday Night Live. The sketch comedy series that’s now celebrating its 50th season dominated the Television Special, One Hour or More Live Program Series category, earning four statuettes to lead all projects. The Muahs Awards “recognize excellence in the artistry and creativity of make-up artists and hair stylists in 23 categories, including motion pictures, television, music videos and theater entertainment,” according to the guild. This year, the theater category expanded to include Broadway and international theater productions.

The show was hosted by Val Chmerkovskiy and Jenna Johnson, the married dancing duo behind Dancing with the Stars. Frankie Grande returned as the host of “Live From the Red Carpet” for the sixth year in a row.

It’s an Oscar race between “The Substance” and “Wicked, with the former as the favorite for its amazing prosthetics for Oscar-nominated Demi Moore as the mutated Gollum and Moore and Margaret Qualley as the hideous Monstro. Transformations usually win Oscars and this is the standout. The other three Oscar nominees are “A Different Man,” “Nosferatu,” and “Emilia Pérez.”

The Henry Danger movie was a major release for the Dangerverse. After Henry Danger and Danger Force aired on Nickelodeon from 2014-2020 and 2020-2024, respectively, the recently released film was the first feature in the franchise.

The Henry Danger movie has performed extremely well since its premiere. It debuted on both Nickelodeon and Paramount+ (where it is still streaming), and even held down the number one spot in the streaming service's top 10 movies for a few days, causing many to wonder what that could mean for a potential sequel.

Cooper Barnes made an epic but brief return as Captain Man in Nickelodeon's recently released Henry Danger movie, potentially setting up the next chapter in the Dangerverse.

Captain Man was introduced in the original Henry Danger series, which aired on Nickelodeon from 2014 to 2020. He then led a three-season spin-off, Danger Force, which lasted from 2020 to 2024, appearing in all 68 episodes.

When Henry Danger: The Movie was announced, many fans wondered if Captain Man would have a role to play in the story. As it turns out, he was briefly included in the Nickelodeon movie (also released on Paramount+), adding another big name to the movie's star-studded cast.

The Black Phone is a 2021 horror film directed by Scott Derrickson, based on a short story by Joe Hill. It stars Mason Thames as Finney, a boy kidnapped by a serial killer known as The Grabber (played by Ethan Hawke).

While trapped, Finney uses a mysterious black phone to communicate with the ghosts of The Grabber’s previous victims, who help him plan his escape. The film also features Madeleine McGraw, Jeremy Davies, and James Ransone.

In October 2023, it was announced that ‘The Black Phone’ would have a sequel, originally planned for June 2025, but it has now been moved to October 2025. Director and co-writer Scott Derrickson will return to write the sequel with C. Robert Cargill, and both will also produce the film with Jason Blum.

Disney Jr. has greenlit Marvel's Iron Man and His Awesome Friends for both that network and Disney+ ahead of a summer 2025 launch. For those of you concerned with continuity, this will not be the same Tony Stark voiced by John Stamos in Spidey and His Amazing Friends.

In this series, the young Iron Man will be joined by his "world-saving besties," Riri Williams/Ironheart and Amadeus Cho. As you might expect, they'll work together to protect their city and each other.

Today, Disney Jr. announced the greenlight for Marvel’s Iron Man and his Awesome Friends, the first preschool Iron Man series which will feature a young Tony Stark (Iron Man) and his world-saving besties, Riri Williams (Ironheart) and Amadeus Cho (Iron Hulk). The young trio work together to make the world a better place, protecting their city and each other.

Chris Rock leads the return of Everybody Still Hates Chris, with Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold reprising their roles. The animated revival of the beloved sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, titled Everybody Still Hates Chris, is moving ahead and several familiar voices are now confirmed to return. Acclaimed comedian Chris Rock will continue his role as narrator on the animated series, with original stars Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold, who played the titular characters parents in the live-action show, will also return to voice their respective characters, Variety has revealed.

Everybody Still Hates Chris is a blast from the past reboot of the 2000s live-action comedy. Fan-favorite actors are also confirmed to join Chris Rock and reprise their characters from the original series.

Chris Rock's Everybody Still Hates Chris will feature familiar voices from the original sitcom. Rock reprises his role as narrator in the animated reboot along with Terry Crews (Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and Tichina Arnold (The Neighborhood) as the voices of Chris' parents. Variety also confirmed the returning stars would be supported by an ensemble of new cast members: Tim Johnson Jr. (Pacific Rim: Uprising) as young Chris, Ozioma Akagha (Marvel's What If?) as Tonya, Terrence Little Gardenhigh (Danger Force) as Drew, and Gunnar Sizemore (Kung Fu Panda) as Greg. The original Everybody Hates Chris had actors Tyler James Williams, Imani Hakim, Tequan Richmond, and Vincent Martella cast in the same roles, respectively.

Exclusive: Mike Caron, director of Nickelodeon’s Danger Force and Paramount+’s Fairly Odd Parents: Fairly Odder, is branching out on his own.

Caron has launched his own production company Mike Caron Productions and has set a small-screen adaptation of mystery series Monster Kid Detective Squad as one of his first projects.

He is looking to develop projects in the family space.

Monster Kid Detective Squad is set in Frightsville and follows characters such as Elsie Frankenstein, a super-strong young monster, Sherry Dracula is a young, headstrong vampire and Rico Gillman, a young sea monster.

The book series is written by Jason Henderson and In Churl Yo and published by Castle Bridge Media. Caron has brought on Bunheads duo Grant Levy and Dominik Rothbard to adapt the series with him.

Caron has worked on over 500 episodes of television including directing Danger Force, in which he also occasionally appears as the villain Deuce Van Nuys.

We can’t wait to hear Joe Pesci say the title of his new show: The Oscar winner (GoodFellas, My Cousin Vinny) has signed on to costar in Pete Davidson’s Peacock comedy Bupkis, the streamer announced on Thursday.

Pesci will play the grandfather of Davidson’s character, joining Edie Falco, who was previously cast as Pete’s mother. The half-hour comedy is a fictionalized take on Davidson’s real life that “will combine grounded storytelling with absurd elements from the unfiltered and completely original worldview for which Pete is well known,” per the official description.

The show’s sophomore season ranked as the No. 1 live-action program on cable among kids 6-11, while also ranking No. 1 in its Thursday premiere time slot. Danger Force regularly airs on Nickelodeon on Thursdays at 7 p.m. (Et/Pt), with episodes available to stream on Paramount+.

I have been waiting to check it out for some time, and it delivered as an emotionally intelligent, fun show for all ages. And I figured there would be other movie and TV news within the realm of the weird. What I did not expect was the real deal stuff that dropped this week. Not only did China release a report about alien civilizations but the whole dang city of Amarillo, Texas went on record with a video still of… something caught on camera.

The news was announced today by Brian Robbins, Paramount President & Chief Executive Officer of Paramount Pictures and Nickelodeon, and Chief Content Officer, Movies and Kids & Family, Paramount+.

Formerly Co-Heads of Live-Action for Nickelodeon and Awesomeness, both brands within Paramount Global, Phelan and Olin are now expanding their purview to oversee all scripted live-action Nickelodeon and Awesomeness series and movies for Nickelodeon and Paramount+, including YA content. They will continue to report to Robbins.
