Took an hour to get going with some stumbling blocks in story build-up and character developments. Reka Wijaya managed to tie up all the loose ends through Deva Mahenra's credible performance and groundbreaking aerial combat. Applause for film score and CGI works too.

There are way too many messages tried to be jammed into this picture that made it an overloaded Freighter.

Unclear plot, average camera angles, lousy dialogues - all made worse by sub-par direction and editing.

Entering the halfway mark Serigala Langit failed to state clearly what it wanted it to mix into the concoction; a light-hearted version of "An Officer and A Gentleman", or a sample of "Crash Landing on You".

Much felt like a lower-budget, literal translation of Top Gun, with dabs of procedurals and morality thrown here and there.

Total waste of wonderful talents and cameos.

And the most annoying aspect is the messy audio-editing...vital dialogues are practically inaudible.

I personally enjoyed Deva's performance in Sabtu Bersama Bapak, and clearly Serigala Langit had not soared to its highest potential.

Reka Wijaya's 'Serigala Langit' tries to be two different films. On one hand, it's a drama about an air force pilot who tries to maintain his place on his new team. On the other hand, it tries to show the heroism of air force pilots. Both, unfortunately, falls apart because of the film's unclear plot points, sloppy characterization, and weak direction. The cast is the only thing holding this film together.
