A swank Caribbean destination wedding suddenly turns disastrous in the action thriller Something in the Water. Directed by Hayley Easton Street and written by Cat Clarke, the gripping battle-for-survival tale recalls the jump-seat scares found in Fall and 47 Meters Down. Like those films, Something in the Water revolves around several women fighting for their lives as they battle brutal twists of fate in a natural environment.
But theres some humor in this film (and sharks). The emotionally fraught story revolves around Meg (Hiftu Quasem of Ten Percent), who agrees to attend her friend Lizzies (Outlanders Lauren Lyle) in the tropics, along with pals Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart). The arrival of Megs former partner, Kayla (Natalie Mitson), triggers Meg as the two survived a traumatic event in the past. When the ladies take a girls day out on the water, none of them could have predicted the terror that awaits them.

"Loch Henry" is the second episode of Black Mirror season 6, and the eerie tale features a small ensemble cast of noteworthy actors. In the episode, a pair of documentary filmmakers travel to a remote Scottish village to film the local nature but soon find themselves entangled in the story of the town's dark past. Penned by showrunner Charlie Brooker and directed by Sam Miller, the episode isn't as tech-centric as the usual Black Mirror fare, but "Loch Henry" puts its emphasis on the past in order to make commentary about issues in the present day.
Black Mirror first debuted back in 2011 and quickly garnered acclaim for its anthology style that drew comparisons to an updated version of The Twilight Zone. Black Mirror was eventually picked up as a Netflix exclusive, and it has gone on to become a more star-studded affair with each new season. Weaving tales of tech-gone-awry and dystopian futures,...
