After his appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon in January, where he unveiled the first leg of The Forget Tomorrow World Tour, Justin Timberlake announced additional dates for his highly anticipated tour.
This marks Timberlake’s first tour in five years. The initial North American leg is set to commence on April 29 in Vancouver, Canada, and span various cities in the U.S., Europe and the U.K. before it concludes in July at Rupp Arena in Lexington, Kentucky.
The second leg of The Forget Tomorrow World Tour will kick off this fall and will feature eight new shows across the United States and Canada.
Alongside these performances, Timberlake has released the heartfelt single “Selfish” from his upcoming sixth studio album, Everything I Thought It Was, which is scheduled for release on May 15. He also gave fans a taste of his new gospel-infused track “Sanctified,” which features Tobe Nwigwe.

Alice Glass has returned with her first new music of 2024: a cover of The Smashing Pumpkins’ 1992 song “Drown.”
Produced by longtime collaborator Jupiter Keyes, Glass’ cover sees the song reimagined with an electronic arrangement. Over a bed of synths, samples, and percussion, Glass carries the melody with her signature processed vocals. In a statement, she described the cover — and its release — as an act of artistic fidelity.
“I believe in the power of art to transcend betrayal and disappointment,” she said. “‘Drown’ is not just a cover; it’s a testament to resilience and artistic integrity. This track was created after we were asked to be a part of an exciting compilation that ultimately didn’t end up happening. But I didn’t want that to stop us from sharing our interpretation of this iconic Smashing Pumpkins track. This release is a declaration of autonomy and a reminder that...

Listening to Justin Timberlake’s Everything I Thought It Was feels like plugging your headphones into a giant gray styrofoam block. While the album manages to steer clear of the misguided Americana pitfalls of 2018’s Man of the Woods, it instead delivers a sound that’s devoid of a distinct artistic identity. Its predecessor at least found Timberlake daring to venture into new territory and trying make a statement of some kind, no matter how ridiculous.
Everything I Thought It Was’s lead single, “Selfish,” is an underwhelmingly mopey nice-guy anthem marked by humming organs and pre-programmed drum patterns. Timberlake’s vocal performance emits small doses of insecurity that feel sincere and unaffected, but one would be hard-pressed to remember a lead single from a major star with a chorus this weak or production choices this humdrum.
The same can be said for “Drown,” which aims something in the “Cry...

You might know Monday night’s host of Jimmy Kimmel Live! from … Justin Timberlake. This is a fact since the singer who subbed for Kimmel told the audience: “Welcome to Jimmy Kimmel Live!, I’m going to be your host tonight, Justin Timberlake.” [Huge applause.] “Now you all might know me from … being … Justin Timberlake.” [Dampened applause.]But don’t worry, Timberlake, being Timberlake, saved the moment the way Timberlake does best with a charming callback to the previous Oscars and calling for a rimshot to a joke about Joey Fatone hitting him.

Justin Timberlake is fighting the current on his latest single “Drown,” the follow-up track to “Selfish” from his upcoming album Everything I Thought It Was.
The song — co-written and co-produced by Timberlake, Louis Bell, Cirkut, Kenyon Dixon, and Amy Allen — delivers another heartbreak anthem from the artist. Backed by moody beats, he sings the chorus, “Got caught up in the tide of all the tears you cried/Yeah, you know I was blinded by my heart, sinking from the start/Should’ve never followed you this far/Now I’m in the deep end,...

The Bat-Family are the most capable heroes in the DC Universe, but that doesn't mean they can save everyone - a lesson that Tim Drake's Robin learned in the harshest way possible. While every Gotham hero has suffered in the pursuit of justice, Tim's darkest failure was made all the more heartrending for being so grounded.
The Bat-Family live by a strict code - every life is infinitely valuable and must be protected at all costs. Indeed, the Bats go further with this logic than most heroes, with Batman refusing to kill even mass murderers like the Joker. However, not every life can be saved, and the universe taught Tim Drake this lesson in a shockingly downbeat way - a moment too shocking to be appropriate for superhero cinema, and yet foundational to Robin's growth as a hero.

Warning: The following contains Spoilers from the Yellowjackets season 2 finale.
The Yellowjackets soundtrack is known for having a mixture of powerful female-led ballads and some grungy '90s favorites. Of course, as with any movie or television show, music plays a huge role in setting the tone. The '90s songs that underscore some of Yellowjackets' most shocking events aren't just limited to the 1996 timeline either, as who can forget Portishead's steamy rendition of "Glory Box" overlapping Shauna's explanation of her dissection of the rabbit from her garden in season 1. The Yellowjackets soundtrack is designed to immerse audiences into the gritty world Ashley Lyle, Bart Nickerson, and Jonathan Lisco have created.
Like the Yellowjackets season 1 soundtrack, the Yellowjackets season 2 score helps ingratiate viewers into the dismal and violent world of the plane crash survivors while simultaneously chronicling the team's descent into madness as the full-blown cannibal winter is upon them.

[Editor’s note: The following contains spoilers for Yellowjackets, Season 2 Episode 8, “It Chooses.”]
After a riveting first season filled with sonic callbacks to the ’90s, Season 2 of Showtime’s Yellowjackets kicked off with a similarly wistful tone, thanks to the new trailer, spotlighting Florence and the Machine’s cover of No Doubt’s “Just a Girl.”
Season 1 of the series took viewers back to 1996 when a young group of soccer players survives a plane crash and the aftermath forced the characters to deal with a string of psychologically unfortunate events. Considering when the story starts, music from the era is paramount to the series. So far, we’ve heard everything from Portishead’s “Glory Box” to “Rump Shaker” by Wreckx-n-Effect in the series, with Season 2 promising to keep that same energy while jumping in between timelines.

Chance the Rapper is reflecting on a difficult time from his past. In celebration of the tenth anniversary of his Acid Rap project, the rap star opened up to Complex about his struggles with substance abuse during his early career days.
During the interview, Chance was asked how his life would’ve looked like if he hadn’t grown beyond Acid Rap: “I probably would’ve died, to be honest,” he responded, saying that people view the record as only entertainment but “it takes away the humanity from the people who make it.

This article contains spoilers through the latest episode of Yellowjackets
Yellowjackets has been doing deep-cut needledrops since before Stranger Things season 4 made it cool. While the series certainly leans into the late ’90s setting of the plane crash flashbacks for much of its music (as it should), the present day timeline keeps the series from feeling too limited in its scope of song choices. Yellowjackets is one of the few shows that could pull off having songs from Papa Roach and Sharon Van Etten in the same episode without it being too distracting. Instead, this eclectic mix of music shows that the music supervisor and showrunners know how important the right song is to the story.
Yellowjackets may cover heavy things like trauma and cannibalism, but that doesn’t mean that its soundtrack can’t be full of bops and bangers, including the title sequence song “No Return” by Anna Waronker and Craig Wedren.
