"The Naked Truth About Zhiguli Band" is a right mix between musical and drama with some funny lines coming from the comedy greats Dimitar Rachkov, Gerasim Georgiev - Gero and Philip Avramov. The highlight of the movie is the theme song which concludes the storyline: "I want a role", while the other tracks bring in these special rock vibes from 30 years ago. Moreover, the leading roles and characters of Mihail Bilalov, Irini Jambonas and Lilia Maravilya have amazing chemistry together and this surely led to a number of well-delivered dramatic scenes during the climax of the film. To sum up, the movie has good quality, the storyline is simple but the actors and the songs create the real lovely value that it has!
It's bearable, lot's of missed opportunities, but overall it's not that cringy.
This is a very emotional movie filled with great actors and performances.
It serves as a commentary on the state of Bulgarian music but it showcases the struggle of musicians in general.
Like a lot of Bulgarian movies, it uses nostalgia and the theme of cultural change from communism to democracy but it's done really tastefully.
I think it pays homage to other movies, like "Orkestar Bez Ime" but it's vastly different from it.
My only complaint is that it felt short on some story threads and character development.
Overall - a great movie.

Very good! Very good! Very good! I like it! This film took me back in time, to my good youth.

Authentic and great eternal and unforgettable great cast and crew from the group Zhiguli. We will meet the new generation of intelligent people, most of whom stand out from the civilizations of the centuries. Delightful plot united identity the infinitely attractive. Everyone whispers a different story of conquest and confrontation, all honoring their exceptional music and creativity. Intensity and precision from hunting theirs and ours purpose tolerated by society understanding Get ready for an exciting summer that presents with a lot of style and rock and roll. Very good indeed, very impressive and attractive. The emotion, the quality and the real pleasure that the team has invested are exceptional. Born into wealth and privileges. Made of classics they belong to many years of experience of joy and authenticity to desire and perfection.

The movie is disappointing. Actors' job and the directors' one are worse than a student project.
Shouting and drama do not make a movie good.
Do not recommend the movie at all.

0,0001% of Bg movies are like this. You you not watch this movie you should watch it. Phillip Avramov is my favourite actor and he is just for Hollywood.

Rock and roll is still alive! An amazing mivie with lovely music and some touching moments ot father and daughter relationship.
This is for certain the best Bulgarian film I've seen in recent years, if not the last decade. Fun and with great acting!
It is a wink to an era and a generation, but you don't need to be a part of it to understand it or enjoy it. Such a nice surprise, even the trailers looked good, but I missed it when it was in cinemas, so am happy to have seen it now.
Most surprising was the music, actually - great songs with accurate texts and most of them quite catchy.
Every department did their part, but the biggest stat was the dialogue - so natural and real-life, something that often kills BG movies, but here it made all the difference.

Yep, a typical modern Bulgarian movie, all the cliches we are sick and tired of, ripping of 2-3 other movies and nothing to remember the movie for. It piggy backs on the nostalgia of A Nameless Band (1981) and even reuses scenes and personalities from it in a more than just an homage! The scene where the band went for inspiration in the gypsy ghetto made me grind my teeth with cringe, as well as any reference to a musician by a name of an real musician (hey, Phil Collins)! Just awful! No character acts like a real human being...
