The Landlord

This has got to be the funniest thing I've ever seen, and i had to watch it about 500 times, half of those times i wasn't under any kind of influence. Will Ferrell is a genius and this is one of those shorts that i wish i had come up with. She sounds like a little Asian lady. She's adorable. Too bad she's been retired as Pearl. that is one girl i wish had never aged. If i had more thumbs, i'd give this 4 of em, way UP!. I know this one an award too. You can see this one and the outtakes and others at funnyordie.com. Hold your phone up to it and record it. This should go down for having the best quotes since anchorman or 40 year old virgin.

First off, if you were smart enough to look up the outtakes, you'd know the kid's not cursing. They have her saying BRICKS instead of bi*** and other like words. Also you'll notice when he curses she's not in the scene it's a upper body shot of Will Ferrell cause she's not there to hear the cursing.

But for everyone who either didn't care or thought it was funny we can agree, great short!!!

I don't really have anything else to say but for some dumb reason I have to have at least 10 lines of text. So I'll reiterate that for people that are dumb enough to hate something when it's so easy to look up the facts to see how wrong you are please just go jump off a cliff, and leave the rest of us out of your fantasy at just how bad the world is.

Always a fan of Will Ferrel in many many films/shows. I saw this short when it was in its prime & I'm just now getting really into doing reviews. Also Adam McKay is a genius at the comedies that he wrote & directed. Cool how he went from doing ridiculous comedies to serious movies nowadays!

What makes this short sketch for me is the joke just before pearl knocks on his door.

Sure it's not big to teach a toddler to swear. but if role models has taught us anything it's that when a kid swears its funny. also recommend watching him pick up the male athlete of the year for tiger woods. i was also very shocked to see this had its own page but i think its clearly so some one can have a moan about the content. Not really much more to say but this system insists on 10 lines

This is a funny, clever short film and Pearl McKay is great as the title character. Will Ferrell gets back to his "SNL" roots of sketch comedy, and he's actually funnier in this 3 minute short than he's been in any of the big budget sports comedies he's done lately. I mean, seriously, Semi- Pro was like the last straw for me, I've decided to wait until his movies go to DVD from now on. Or in this case, online. Since "The Landlord" is the funniest, most original effort that Mr. Ferrell has made in a long time, I'm going to make the early prediction that this little sketch will be developed into a 90 minute feature very soon. Will says "yes" too often to mediocre projects. (There was that one summer when he hit us with Kicking & Screaming and Bewitched in like the same week). I admit that I would watch it if it were made, but please Will, don't mess up a great thing. This short is a reminder of how funny you actually can be.
