Apple TV+ has announced the programming that will be added to the streaming service next month. The Apple TV Plus March 2025 lineup includes the kids & family series Be@Rbrick, the crime drama series Dope Thief, the Mythic Quest spinoff Side Quest, and the comedy series The Studio.

Apple TV+ offers drama and comedy series, feature films, documentaries, and kids and family entertainment. It is available on the Apple TV app on the iPhone, iPad, Apple TV, Apple Vision Pro, Mac, smart TVs from Samsung, LG, Sony, Vizio, Tcl and others, Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices, Chromecast with Google TV, PlayStation and Xbox consoles, and at the Apple site.

Apple TV+ has revealed a first look at Be@Rbrick, a new CG animated comedy series for kids and families set to debut globally on Friday, March 21.

Based on the iconic Be@Rbrick figures from Medicom Toy, the 13-episode series, produced and animated by DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc., features upbeat, original songs and aims to empower kids and families to embrace their true selves through the universal language of music.

Be@Rbrick follows Jasmine Finch and her bandmates as they pursue their dreams and inspire others to do the same. But it won’t be easy to do when living in a world where everyone’s role is chosen for them and where the painted-on look you receive when you graduate from high school determines who you’ll be for the rest of your life.

If you’re looking for family-friendly programming, you might assume Disney+ is your best choice. But according to the Parents Television and Media Council, families might want to look elsewhere for a safe harbor. The group looked across the streaming landscape to catalog which platforms offered the most TV-g or TV-pg original series.

Interestingly, Apple TV+ was rated the best service for family programming. It offers the largest number of TV-g-rated original programs. Twenty-six out of 139 programs (19%) were rated for general audiences. Only 6% were rated PG. Half (50%) of all original content on AppleTV+ is rated TV-ma.

The worst platform for family-friendly content is Prime Video. Less than 3% of original content is rated TV-g or TV-pg. Prime Video’s content spend has been seemingly erratic, with major funding going to Thursday Night Football, and effects-heavy epics like “The Wheel of Time” or “Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power.

Exclusive: Apple TV+ is expanding its kids and families slate with Be@rbrick, a 13-episode animated kids series based on Medicom Toy’s popular collectible bear-shaped figures, from DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc.

Told through CG animation, Be@rbrick is a music-driven comedy about young singer-songwriter Jasmine and her bandmates as they pursue their dreams and inspire others to do the same. But it won’t be easy to do when living in a world where everyone’s role is chosen for them and where the painted-on look you receive when you graduate from high school determines who you’ll be for the rest of your life. Jasmine realizes that in order for her world to change, she and her friends may have to make it happen themselves.

The series will be animated and produced by DreamWorks Animation and Dentsu Inc., and showrun and executive produced by Meghan McCarthy. Alex Almaguer (TrollsTopia) will serve as supervising producer and Taylor Orci (Kipo and the Age of Wonderbeasts) will serve as story editor. Athena Hofmann (Curious George) will serve as line producer on the series.

“Be@rbrick marks the latest collaboration for Apple TV+ and DreamWorks Animation, joining GLAAD Media Award nominated Pinecone & Pony, based on Kate Beaton’s book The Princess and the Pony; and Doug Unplugs, based on Dan Yaccarino’s Doug Unplugged book series.

Apple TV+’s kids and families slate includes the Oscar and BAFTA-winning animated short film The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse; animated adventure film Luck from Apple Original Films and Skydance Animation which premiered this year; and, BAFTA Award-winning and Academy Award-nominated animated film Wolfwalkers.

Tubi has announced the casting and director for “Crushed,” a coming-of-age comedy set to premiere this April on Fox Entertainment’s ad-supported streaming service.

“Crushed” follows Kate (Bebe Wood), a romantic high schooler who has a huge crush on classmate Jason (Nicholas Alexander Chavez). But, as she unsuccessfully tries to get together with Jason during their senior class trip, things spiral out of control.

In addition to Wood and Chavez, “Crushed” also stars Brenna D’Amico (“Descendants: Wicked World”), Valerie Azlynn (“Sullivan & Son”), Kylee Russell (“Zombies: Addison’s Monster Mystery”), Lisa Yamada (“All of Us Are Dead”), Meg Wright (“Jeepers Creepers III”) and Bailey Stender (“Pop Music High”).

The Tubi original is directed by Niki Koss and written by Heidi Lux, in her screenwriting debut. “Crushed,” which hails from Cartel Pictures for Tubi, is produced by Stan Spry and Eric Scott Woods.

Apple TV Plus released a new trailer outlining its summer programming fare, giving first looks at a slew of upcoming projects both new and returning. The spot, titled “Summer 2021 & Beyond,” is a rapid fire blend of clips that push the narrative that Apple TV Plus is exploring new worlds.

The spot shows first looks at the Isaac Asimov adaptation “Foundation,” “Invasion,” the Will Ferrell-Paul Rudd vehicle “The Shrink Next Door,” musical comedy “Schmigadoon!” and Joseph Gordon-Levitt-starrer “Mr. Corman.” The spot also teased sophomore seasons of “The Morning Show,” “Ted Lasso,” “See” and “Truth Be Told,” as well as “Coda,” the Sundance favorite that Apple acquired for $25 million. Additionally, the trailer showcases family fare such as new series “Wolfboy and the Everything Factory” and “Puppy Place,” and new episodes of “Doug Unplugs.”

Apple has given a straight-to-series order for the children’s series “Jane” from J.J. Johnson, Sinking Ship Entertainment, and the Jane Goodall Institute.

The series is titled “Jane.” It will feature a mixture of live-action and CGI as it follows Jane Garcia, a 10-year-old girl with an active imagination. Through pretend play, Jane and her trusty teammates work to protect an endangered animal in each mission-driven episode because, according to her idol, “Only if we understand, will we care. Only if we care, will we help. Only if we help, can they be saved.”

Johnson created the series and will serve as executive producer via Sinking Ship. The Jane Goodall Institute will also executive produce.
