the tea

A young woman accepts the advice of her mother . An old recipe of sleeping tea for permit the survive of the three members of family in harsh time. But the things work real bad , not only for the thaw , coming too soon , not only for presumed mistake of young woman, prepairing the tea but for the bizarre effects for father and for the radical gesture of daughter when the women solution is not the inspired one.

A film reminding simple things, itself being, at first sight, only Gothic story sketch but offering, in just admirable manner - the converation in kitchen, behind the tea drink being a precious part- a coherent portrait of characters , a splendid image of winter and solutions to survive it in XIX century Vermont.

So, just a gem.
