I love this couple & hate how Hallmark makes us wait so long for a couple to figure it out, lol. And since this is a series, they may never get together! But the longer it takes, the longer we will hang around waiting for that special day to finally be come along.
This series has had some great writers - the story keeps moving and it really has you guessing.
Seriously, the storyline was great, costars were integral to the main plot as well as subplots, the scenery & music was spot-on. I hope they just keep making more. It seems they didnt start all that long ago, so hoping for a nice long run.

While backstage on opening night of a new play by celebrated murder mystery author/director Neil Khan, photographer Allie Adams discovers the body of the show's leading lady, murdered before the curtain went up. As Willow Haven PD Detective Sam Acosta launches his investigation, he invites Allie - who has been helpful in solving his first two murder cases since joining the force -- to unofficially assist him on the. Case.
A strong mystery that flows well, isn't too loaded with convoluted twists, has good acting and a rousing finale with chases down corridors and a revelation. I enjoy Picture Perfect mysteries a lot, pity there isn't more - the characters played By the Vega is appealing - Carlos in particular doesn't come across like a stone as in other episodes and shows a caring side to the plucky photographer heroine.

Loved this little mystery play - a great update of the older types of this style. The actors were great (and VERY attractive). A fun little watch!

I paused this movie, after what seemed like over 3 hours, to see how much time was left, and was surprised to see I had only been watching for just over an hour.
I DID fall asleep at least once or twice during the movie, so that may have contributed to the sense that I had been watching for significantly longer than I actually had been.
I think this is the first Hallmark Mystery Movies series that I have watched where I had never heard of the lead.
I first started watching with the Aurora Teagarden and Garage Sale Mystery movies. Those were quite good, and I was somewhat disappointed when both leads left Hallmark for GAC.
Even the previous two movies of this series were better and faster paced than this one.
I do find the female lead to be quite likeable and appealing.

Every single movie I watch on Hallmark whether it's Christmas or Mysteries they have half the screen filled up with promos on the lower right screen ...it says; Hallmark movies and mysteries. The lower left screen, says all new Martha's Vineyard mystery Premieres Sunday 8 p.m. with a huge picture of the actor there ....this is so disconcerting so irritating so aggravating that you have to watch around these logos to watch the movie unfold. This is total 100% disrespectful from Hallmark towards its viewers, its despicable . This horrid practice should be done away with immediately.
Show viewers respect!!

After helping Sam solve the crime, Allie shows up at his house
to help him paint his living room, using the coolr she picked for him. Shoe comes with a brush, but the next scene shows them using rollers. The curtains are still on the window, and they push the rollers up and down, not coming close the either ceiling or floor. Really? Youtube could provide them with quick lessons on hwo to do the job right.
This is not one of Hallmarks best mystery series. Here are my favorites.
2. Murder She Baked (although the last two, renamed Hanna Swenson mysteries slipped a bit) 3. Martha's Vineyard (they have to resolve the cliff hanger about who really shot Jeff).
4. Mystery 101 (and what bout that epilog about Amy's fiance?) 5. Emma Fielding
Full disclosure about these last two - as a retired college professor, I have a special feeling for shows that show academics in a positive light.
I could go on, but I think this is enough.
