See it

An excellent short film (18 minutes). It captures the characters, the setting, a major transition in their lives, and will leave you emotionally invested and affected. If you know someone who thinks short films are a waste of time, point them toward this.

Without going into specifics, the film deals with a twenty-something gay couple on the brink of a new phase in their relationship as they try to deal with a number of changes in their lives. Also featuring is the ten-year-old brother of one of them, who comes to play an integral part in the story.

The short film premiered at the 2008 Berlin International Film Festival and went on to win the festivals' Crystal Bear prize for Best Short Film.

about challenges

the basic virtue of this beautiful short film is the state after its end. so familiar. so inspired used by director using a simple story about transition, new perspective about family, brotherhood and delicate-precise way to see the life. a film about two brothers and a love affair. a change transforming everything. and answers to chances. it is one of useful films as a form of soup for soul. because it is not sentimental, it reminds crumbs from Kramer vs. Kramer and escapes from ordinary clichés of gay short films. and it is a wise film about importance of small gestures. maybe, one of the secrets is the language, the good performances and a script who preserves universal details of near reality. so, a real good film.
