Netflix ha publicado el primer tráiler de la séptima temporada de su serie antológica Black Mirror y ha anunciado la fecha de estreno.

Nearly two years have passed since Netflix debuted a new season of Black Mirror, even if it feels like much longer. The streamer has finally unveiled a trailer and new images for the upcoming seventh season, along with announcing an April 10, 2025 premiere date.

“You can expect a mix of genres and styles,” stated series creator Charlie Brooker during the 2024 Geeked Week festival. “We’ve got six episodes this time, and two of them are basically feature-length. Some of them are deeply unpleasant, some are quite funny, and some are emotional.”

Among them is the much-anticipated sequel to one of Black Mirror‘s most popular, critically acclaimed episodes, season four’s “USS Callister.” The sequel marks the first time Brooker has ever revisited any of the previous six seasons’ episodes.

The Prison Break reboot at Hulu may not be giving us another season with Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell), but it is giving us quite the new cast to make up for it. According to a new report from Variety, the Elgin James-created reboot has cast three series regulars — and they all come from majorly successful shows.

Emily Browning, Lukas Gage, and Drake Rodger have been cast to lead the show for the pilot episode that has been ordered by the streamer. And while you may not know those names off the top of your head, you absolutely know their faces and have likely seen (and loved!) at least one thing they have done in recent years.

Set in the same world as the original Prison Break, but telling an entirely new story of its own, the show will focus on three characters to be played by the actors above.

The new season of Black Mirror is said to be a return — in more ways than one. In the newly released trailer for Season 7, it looks like more than a few characters and episodes will be revisited, including the now iconic ''USS Callister" episode from Season 4. And according to series creator Charlie Brooker, this new batch of episodes will also be a return to form for fans of the darkly satirical and at-times harrowing anthology series.

Calling the forthcoming season "a little bit Og Black Mirror," Brooker noted that Season 7 — which is slated to hit Netflix on April 10, 2025, goes "back to basics in many ways. They're all sci-fi stories," a welcome change after the past few seasons have focused more on the horror aspect than anything. "There's definitely some horrifying things that occur," he added, "but maybe not in an overt horror-movie way. There's definitely some disturbing content in it.

It’s back to basics in many ways.

Because the world does not feel dystopian enough, “Black Mirror” is finally releasing its Season 7 premiere date. The sci-fi anthology from Charlie Brooker will return on April 10 with six new episodes.

This new season will contain a previously announced followup to the Emmy-winning “USS Callister” starring Cristin Milioti. Fittingly, the trailer for this new season starts with Milioti’s Lieutenant Cole gasping as an unseen voice says “We’d like to welcome you back.”

The trailer then cycles between clips of wild scenarios that are never fully explained. One minute, a man is putting on a Batman mask. The next, Issa Rae is being transported into a black-and-white world filled with AI people. Still the next, Rashida Jones collapses like a powered off robot while pitching cereal in front of a class of children. You know, classic “Black Mirror” stuff.

Black Mirror has finally set a return date and along with the release date announcement, Netflix has dropped a captivating trailer and slew of photos teasing the forthcoming episodes.

The trailer (below) merges the new episodes into one cohesive tease for the dystopian series, set to a foreboding cover of “Dream a Little Dream.” The clips and snippets span genres and introduce the star-studded cast, as creator-writer Charlie Brooker once again plans to tackle predictive sci-fi stories that will touch on AI, human consciousness and technology.

The six-episode season releases April 10 on Netflix.

That doesn’t end well, and the aftermath becomes the main focus of the film, along with Luke's determination to get revenge.

Per Entertainment Weekly, Walken recently appeared as a guest on the Andy Cohen Live show on SiriusXM. Per Deadline, a new version of Prison Break has been handed a pilot order at Hulu courtesy of Elgin James, the man behind Mayans M.C. and The Outlaws. Plot details are being kept locked up as tight as the would-be prisoners, but the new take will reportedly be set in the same universe with a new story and cast. That means that fans of Wentworth Miller's Michael Scofield and Dominic Purcell's Lincoln Burrows will have to get attached to a new group of people trying to escape their prison walls.

Hulu has ordered a pilot for the “Prison Break” follow-on series, with “Mayans M.C.” co-creator Elgin James attached to write, TheWrap has learned. The new series hails from 20th Television, a part of Disney Television Studios.

The new “Prison Break” series is being considered a next chapter for the thriller show and is expected to feature a fresh cast of characters attempting a daring jailbreak. James will executive produce alongside “Prison Break” creator Paul Scheuring as well as “Prison Break” EPs Dawn Olmstead, Marty Adelstein and Neal Moritz.

The pilot order comes just over a month after the “Prison Break” series was reported to be in the works at 20th Television, which produced the first run of the show that originally premiered in 2005.

Hulu's preparing to spend some time behind the walls with a planned reboot of the hit series Prison Break. A new take on the show, this one from Elgin James, has just taken a major step forward toward becoming a reality.

Per Deadline, Hulu has officially ordered a pilot for the Prison Break reboot. Should the streamer be satisfied with the pilot, a series order will be next. The project comes from James, known for co-creating FX's Sons of Anarchy spinoff series, Mayans M.C., as well as the BBC/Prime Video series The Outlaws. The potential spinoff with James was first reported to be in early development last year, and finally getting its pilot order follows the original Prison Break recently getting a resurgence in viewership on Netflix after a 2-year hiatus on that platform.

Within just a week of its premiere, the psychological thriller became Channel 4's highest-viewing scripted streaming launch, with over 1 million views. Beta Film’s thriller series “The Couple Next Door,” commissioned by the U.K.’s Channel 4 and Starz in North America, has taken the global market by storm.

Beta Film secured major deals in more than 55 territories across the world, including Rtl in Germany, Rai in Italy, Amazon in the Netherlands (first window) and Rtl in the Netherlands (second window), as well as Vtm in Belgium, and Yes in Israel. NBC Universal snapped up the six-hour drama for Brazil and Latin America, and Now TV for Hong Kong.

Hailed by The Guardian as “a sexy, fantastic time,” “The Couple Next Door” was Channel 4’s biggest drama streaming launch of all time and had a triumphant linear debut last winter.

Approval has been granted for council officers to move forward with the sale of the leasehold for Bristol’s Bottle Yard Studios.

The council will retain ownership of the freehold of the UK studios, which has housed productions including Hellboy and BBC drama series such as The Outlaws and Poldark, while selling on a long-leasehold to a private bidder. Councillors voted six to three in favour of the proposal during yesterday’s meeting (October 14).

Equity, the UK performing arts and entertainment trade union, has called on Bristol City Council to rethink the sale of Bottle Yard Studios amid fears the facility would eventually be closed.

Bristol City Council owns the film and TV studios that has hosted productions including feature Hellboy and BBC drama series such as The Outlaws and Poldark.

Despite being one of the reigning sitcoms in the eighties and nineties, the much-loved Cheers is still regarded as one of the greatest shows to date. Because of this, several remakes have come about, including a 2011 Spanish version of the same name and an Irish one that never came to fruition. Most recently, another remake appears to be in the works, as Deadline can confirm that a U.K. version from Big Talk Studios, the producer behind the BBC/Amazon series The Outlaws, is being developed.

A remake of the iconic sitcom Cheers is in development. Noted as one of the seminal comedies in television history, Cheers was loved by audiences and critics, with the ensemble cast still recognized and lauded for their performances years after the final episode.

Deadline reports that a British remake of Cheers is in the works. The project hails from Big Talk Studios, which is behind The Outlaws comedy series. The remake will be adapted by Simon Nye, a British writer known for the show Men Behaving Badly. The remake is not yet greenlit, but Nye will be the showrunner if it is.

Titled In Case of Emergency, Big Talk has produced a six-minute animatic pilot, with members of the British comedy community providing voiceover work.

Big Talk is collaborating on the project with Blue Zoo Animation Studio, a British animation company known for children’s shows including The Adventures of Paddington.

Big Talk CEO Kenton Allen confirmed In Case of Emergency in an interview with Deadline and said the company, which makes The Outlaws, was approached by Netflix with the animation ambition.
