The actor Ryûnosuke Tsukigata appears in both this film and its 1955 remake, Le Mont Fuji et la lance ensanglantée (1955). Presumably, Tsukigata in this film portrayed the character played by Chiezô Kataoka in the later film, but this cannot be verified, as the earlier film is missing and presumed lost.
