The cast of The Gentleman is taking over Italy!
Theo James and Jasmine Blackborow looked out at the sea as they filmed scenes for the upcoming second season of Guy Ritchie‘s hit Netflix series earlier this week in Verbonia, Italy.
For those scenes, Theo, 40, wore a white linen suit over a blue button down shirt while Jasmine, 33, donned a red floral-print dress.
Also this week, Theo filmed scenes around the city and was spotted aboard a boat while filming.
Here’s a season two synopsis: It’s been one year since Eddie (James) and Susie (Kaya Scodelario) joined forces to work together in Bobby’s (Ray Winstone) criminal empire overseas. As they drive to expand their enterprise, the decisions Bobby is making seem to be increasingly unsound. Now Eddie and Susie must decide whether to take action or risk losing it all, but unfettered ambition never ends well…

It was recently reported that the search for Clayface's lead had come down to four actors: Jack O'Connell (28 Years Later), Tom Blyth (The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds & Snakes), Leo Woodall (The White Lotus), and George MacKay (1917).
Well, it's turned out to be none of them. DC Studios co-ceo James Gunn has confirmed that Welsh actor Tom Rhys Harries will take on the title role in Clayface, with The Wrap's Umberto Gonzalez reporting that he'll play the Matt Hagen version of the villain.
While Harries is a relative unknown, he's racked up credits in Apple TV+'s Suspicion, as well as The Return, Kandahar, and The Gentleman.
Born in Cardiff, Wales, Harries attended The Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama and made his West End stage debut in 2013 in Jez Butterworth's Mojo opposite Colin Morgan, Rupert Grint, and Ben Whishaw.

Back in 2021, filmmaker Mike Flanagan let it be known on social media that he was interested in making a “standalone horror/thriller/tragedy” movie that would center on the Clayface character. A while after that, he confirmed that he had met with veteran DC movie producer Jon Berg to pitch a “horror-leaning” take on Clayface, as well as ideas for the DC properties Scarecrow, Justice League Dark, and Constantine. The meeting “kind of went nowhere.” But then, in March of 2023, Deadline broke the news that Flanagan had scheduled another Clayface pitch meeting, this time with DC Studios bosses James Gunn and Peter Safran. And at the end of last year, it was announced that Flanagan is officially writing a Clayface movie that will be part of the DC Universe film franchise that’s being overseen by Gunn and Safran. A few months ago, Speak No Evil director James Watkins was hired to take the helm…...

Tom Rhys Harries, a relative newcomer, has scored the high-profile lead role in “Clayface,” an upcoming DC Studios adventure.
James Gunn, the head honcho at DC, delivered the news on social media, tweeting, “After a long and incredibly exhaustive search, we finally have our Dcu Clayface in Tom Rhys Harries. Both [‘The Batman’ director] Matt Reeves and I were just blown away by this guy, and can’t wait for you to see this film.”
Reeves is producing “Clayface,” which is written by Mike Flanagan (“The Fall of the House of Usher”) and directed by James Watkins (“Eden Lake”). The film is less superhero adventure than body horror flick, focusing on a B-movie actor who drinks a substance that’s supposed to help his career and which instead leaves him made entirely of clay. Think “Death Becomes Her” with fewer jokes.

The James Bond franchise is undergoing arguably its biggest shake-up in history. As well as Daniel Craig being replaced as the eponymous spy, the franchise is under new ownership, with Amazon MGM Studios having bought the rights to the IP earlier this year. With the next movie currently in development, all eyes are on who will play the next James Bond. Every fan has their favorite pick. One fan who knows a thing or two about being a good 007 is Pierce Brosnan, who played the iconic character four times on the big screen, and the Irish star has defined what makes an actor worthy of taking on the mantle.
During an interview with MovieWeb's George Edelman, Pierce Brosnan discussed the future of James Bond and what the next actor to play the role will need in order to succeed. Much like Bond himself, Brosnan's advice was no-nonsense and to the point.

After surrendering territory to Guy Ritchie and his cohorts recently, the streaming maven Taylor Sheridan is back for revenge. Three of Sheridan's shows found spots on the Paramount+ streaming charts, pushing Ritchie's crime drama MobLand outside the top 10. Created by Ronan Bennett, MobLand premiered to exemplary viewership figures some weeks ago, and will conclude its inaugural season in June. Through most of its run, MobLand was able to dominate the Paramount+ charts, pushing Sheridan's shows down to levels they'd rarely seen in the past.
In the last few days, however, MobLandis nowhere to be seen in the top 10; this suggests a worryingly high drop-off rate, which is never a great sign for television. Return viewership for Sheridan's output, on the other hand, seems to be solid. What do you expect to get from the fountain? The answer could only be youth – unless you’re starring in the new Guy Ritchie movie, in which case there’s something more at play. Apple has released the newest trailer for Ritchie’s Fountain of Youth, starring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman who head out on an adventure as part of a family legacy.
The latest trailer for Fountain of Youth comes just a few weeks off of the first one, which, as is the case here, feels like some sort of expansion on the National Treasure franchise. While that’s not necessarily a bad thing and seeing what Guy Ritchie can do with some globe-trotting set pieces might be fun, there are some serious skeptics about the whole thing, particularly how it just doesn’t feel like a Guy Ritchie movie. But we’ll hold off complete judgment until...

After a stunning run for three seasons, Bridgerton is all set to once again return to the screens with a fourth season that is already as greatly anticipated as ever. While a lot of fans are looking forward to other storylines to materialize, including the show’s focus on Benedict’s love story, some are also hoping that the series does something about Lady Danbury’s backstory.
In the respective series’ prequel spin-off show Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, a lot was hinted about the respective character’s past, and now, we are hoping the original Netflix series doesn’t whitewash her backstory just like that and instead plods more on it. Because if it does, then the show will inevitably end up proving that it cares more about corsets than characters.

Guy Ritchie's MobLand finally sees the beloved British director reunite with Tom Hardy for a violent crime story, following 2008's RocknRolla. Is MobLand the start of a new criminal empire, or nothing more than petty theft?
Following the premiere episode, Guy Ritchie's MobLand currently holds a decent 71% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have also had their say about MobLand's debut episode, as the series boasts a similarly strong audience score of 72%. You’d have to go all the way back to 2000’s Snatch for the last Guy Ritchie project that I awaited with unabashed anticipation.
At the time, Ritchie was coming off of the sleeper success of Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and he seemed like one of the freshest young voices in British cinema. Of course, Ritchie followed Snatch with Swept Away, setting off a prolific and unpredictable career of hits and misses (more the latter than the former).
I was astounded, though, by how much I enjoyed Ritchie’s 2024 Netflix series, The Gentleman. Despite my tepid feelings for the source material — Hugh Grant kept that film watchable — and generally tepid feelings for leading man Theo James, I thought The Gentleman was a blast, a well-calibrated mixture of wild supporting performances and high-octane action, held together by Kaya Scodelario’s extremely confident central turn.

Guy Ritchie returns to the well-worn world of London gangsters when MobLand premieres on Paramount+ on March 30th, 2025. In addition to detailing MobLand's official release schedule, describing the cast, premise, and connection to Showtime's popular crime series, Ray Donovan, is bound to draw viewers into the exhilarating and unpredictable criminal underworld that Guy Ritchie has been mastering since Snatch and Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. Since its release, Tombstone has become known as one of the greatest Westerns. The film tells the story of the historical lawman Wyatt Earp, and some of the figures he worked with in Tombstone, Arizona. The film received favorable reviews upon its release and has left a powerful legacy.
Part of the reason for Tombstone's success is its legendary cast. Kurt Russell stars as Wyatt Earp, and Val Kilmer gives one of his best performances as Doc Holliday. The film also starred actors like Sam Elliott, Bill Paxton, Charlton Heston, and Robert Mitchum as the narrator. However, viewers who closely watched the credits would have noticed a mysterious name — somehow, Wyatt Earp is listed as one of the actors.
The Real Wyatt Earp's Cousin Appeared in 'Tombstone'
The simple reason for Wyatt Earp being listed as an actor in a movie about himself is that an actor shared a name with him.

It has been far too long since Matthew McConaughey has been in a narrative feature. The Rivals of Amziah King comes from director Andrew Patterson, whose The Vast of Night showed incredible promise as a feature debut. In The Rivals of Amziah King, Andrew Patterson crafts a loving portrait of an Oklahoma community around the sweet relationship between a beekeeper and his estranged foster daughter. The director borrows from different genres — nostalgic Westerns, propulsive crime thrillers, high-stakes heist films and even musicals — to tell this winding tale about what makes a place and its people feel like home.
There’s an admirable audacity to the film, which premiered at SXSW; you can feel Patterson, who garnered critical acclaim for his slender and accomplished debut The Vast of Night, exploring new ways to tell a familiar story. But a blinkered narrative coupled with misty-eyed aesthetic choices yield a strange and scattershot result.
The film starts on assured but sentimental footing. Patterson delivers a compelling opening sequence with the glossy finish of a music video. Trucks pull into an outdoor eatery, and out of them emerges a gaggle of...

Dharmendra remembers the iconic film badman, the Gentleman Villain Pran, in this Subhash K Jha feature celebrating Pran’s incredible career.
During his prime crime-time, Pran instilled a reign of terror in the hearts of Indian humanity. So much so that parents ceased to name their children Pran during this arch-villain takeover on the big screen.
Born Pran Sikand, the villain-to-be never dreamt of becoming a film actor in his youth. After his basic education, Pran became a photographer’s apprentice. The vocation took him from location to location. One day in Lahore, Pran was loitering at a paan shop when a leading screenplay writer Walli Mohamed Walli walked up to him and offered him a role in a Punjabi film called Yamala Jat produced by the renowned Dalsukh Pancholi.
Taking it to be crank offer Pran forgot about it, only to be accosted by Walli a few days later at another venue.

While we await the triumphant return of Superman later this year, and thus the beginning of James Gunn and Peter Safran’s rebooted Dcu, the franchise is still taking shape. Fans are awaiting news of more characters and who will play them (one of the biggest being Batman), and now, a star of the hit Netflix series The Gentlemen has thrown his (feathered) hat in the ring to star as one of the most beloved street-level superheroes: Green Arrow.
Taking to social media, The Gentlemen star Harry Goodwins is now campaigning to play Oliver Queen, Aka Green Arrow in the Dcu, with his post even suggesting that he may have already had meetings with Gunn about the role. A trio of U.K. stars have joined Guy Richie’s “Wife & Dog,” rounding out the cast of the director’s next adventure into the colourful and backstabbing world of the British upper classes (which he recently explored in “The Gentleman” film and TV series).

There are some absolute monsters of shows that fans are waiting to hear more news about. The main news we all want is, of course, when we will see new seasons for some top shows. Netflix has just unveiled plans for their 2025 series plans, but what they haven't said is as important as what they did tell us.
Of course, we’ll all be glad to hear there are new seasons this year for the likes of Wednesday, Squid Games, and Emily in Paris, plus a whole load more. Is Steven Soderbergh preparing to join the “Star Wars” universe? Or is he just a huge fan of George Lucas and Tony Gilroy?
The filmmaker behind classics like “Ocean’s 11” and “Traffic,” as well as the upcoming supernatural horror “Presence,” released his 2024 watch list last week, as he has done for many years now, sharing it via his “Soderblog” under “Seen, Read 2024.” Included on the list are a range of films, television shows, and shorts, as well as novels, short stories, and plays, but of particular note are his multiple viewings of “Star Wars” films across the year, seemingly sparked by his watching the Disney+ “Rogue One” spin-off series “Andor” from Tony Gilroy. Soderbergh and Gilroy are longtime friends and collaborators, the former having helped finance the latter’s “Michael Clayton.” They also did a commentary track together for Carol Reed’s “The Third Man” that’s really worth a listen.

Guy Ritchie is an incredibly busy director these days, and he won't be stopping anytime soon. For his next film, Fountain of Youth, he will be recruiting Jack Ryan star John Krasinski to lead a star-studded cast that will see them tackle an Indiana Jones-like adventure. The acclaimed director has now blown the lid on the film, describing what it was like shooting the globe-trotting Fountain of Youth, while also revealing exciting first-look images of the upcoming project.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ritchie says Fountain of Youth is "in the vein of Indiana Jones but contemporary." As the official images tease (see below), the movie follows two estranged siblings, Luke and Charlotte Purdue (Natalie Portman), who reunite to find the titular mythical place. This time around, Ritchie wanted to make sure he was not keeping himself in a box with his film genres, especially since projects like The Gentleman were so well-received.

Guy Ritchie is now assembling the cast for his next movie, and it could be the strongest group of actors yet. Across his career, Ritchie has worked with the likes of Jason Statham, Stephen Graham, Brad Pitt, Robert Downey Jr., Jude Law, Jake Gyllenhaal, Colin Farrell, Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Henry Cavill, and the list goes on. So, how does he keep managing to assemble greater and greater casts for his movies?
Per Variety, Guy Ritchie is teaming up with Sherlock star Benedict Cumberbatch, Gone Girl actress Rosamund Pike, and an actor who needs no introduction, Anthony Hopkins, for his next film, Wife & Dog, which will continue Ritchie's trend of examining and dissecting the British aristocracy much like he did with The Gentlemen. In his early career, the director was obsessed with low-level cockney gangsters in London. However, recent years have seen Ritchie turn his attention to the wealthy elite.
