Before she was a royal fiancée, before she was the star of Suits, Meghan Markle was just an actress trying to make it big in Hollywood. And that dream came with plenty of guest star stints and background parts in movies before Meghan worked her way up to leading roles in Hallmark movies, a quick role in a Jennifer Aniston film and of course, Suits, her big break.
Curious about Meghan’s cinematic life before Harry? We’ve chronicled each and every last one of her on-screen roles — and found where you can watch them, too!

When I first heard about this show, I could have sworn I had heard something about it before, only with another star attached to it and not Virginia Madsen. Turns out there was another version of 'Scoundrels' that ABC attempted, a couple of years ago, only it had Catherine O'Hara in the lead role and it was called 'Good Behavior.'
'Scoundrels' is based on a New Zealand show, 'Outrageous Fortune,' and Madsen will star as the mother/head of a family of crooks who decides that they all need to go straight after the dad is put in prison. I'm going to assume that things don't go smoothly and their criminal pasts will catch up to them in some way. But this sounds like it could be a fun show, sort of like 'The Riches' and maybe a hint of the USA show 'Cover Me' (which...

ABC has given the green light to "Scoundrels," a comedic drama based on New Zealand series "Outrageous Fortune." The network has handed a series order of about eight episodes to "Scoundrels," which is set to run in the summer.
The project, from ABC Studios, centers on a family of small-time criminals that is shaken when their father is sentenced to a long prison term, leaving his wife to take care of the criminally enterprising brood. In an effort to keep her kids out of trouble, she decides it's time for the family to go straight despite the best efforts of her kids to maintain their petty criminal ways.
Richard Levine and Lyn Greene ("Nip/Tuck") wrote the project and will serve as executive producers/showrunners on the series.
John Barnett, whose company South Pacific Pictures is behind the original series, is also executive producing with ABC-based producer Francie Calfo. Michael Larkin...

It's pilot screening time this week at ABC, and the TV types are abuzz about the fate of the network's projects that, because of the WGA strike, are being seen by Alphabet brass six months after they were greenlighted to pilots.
The field is being narrowed down, and there is speculation ABC might pick up a drama and a comedy series Friday. Overall, the network is expected to greenlight at least three projects each on the comedy and drama side.
Two NYPD-themed one-hours -- ABC Studios' Nathan Fillion starrer "The Castle" and Sony TV's ensemble dramedy "The Unusuals" -- have emerged as front-runners.
Additionally, 20th's untitled Dave Hemingson legal dramedy screened well Wednesday. Rob Thomas' "Cupid" update, which has not been seen by ABC execs, also is rising, somewhat overshadowing Thomas' other hourlong pilot at ABC Studios, "Good Behavior."
Also a possibility: WBTV's fantasy "Captain Cook's Extraordinary Atlas," which has not screened.
On the comedy side, three single-camera half-hours continue to enjoy the strongest buzz: 20th TV's Victor Fresco office comedy and the ABC Studios-produced family shows "Never Better," starring Damon Wayans, and the Kristin Newman project, starring Alyssa Milano.

While most of Hollywood is getting into vacation mode as mid-August approaches, it's crunch time at ABC, which shifted its pilot production to early summer as a result of the writers strike. Screenings are scheduled for next week, but already there is early buzz on some pilots that are completed.
On the comedy side, three single-camera half-hours -- the untitled Victor Fresco project, "Never Better" and the untitled Kristin Newman project (aka "Single With Parents") -- are considered strong contenders for pickup.
In a vote of confidence for the Victor Fresco office comedy, starring Jay Harrington and Portia de Rossi, ABC's sister studio ABC Studios recently inked an overall deal with Fresco. Family comedy "Never Better" would mark the return to ABC of "My Wife and Kids" star Damon Wayans, while the Kristin Newman project stars Alyssa Milano as a thirty?something woman trying to break free of her overbearing family.
On the drama side, "The Castle," starring Nathan Fillion as a horror novelist working for the NYPD, and Rob Thomas' "Good Behavior," toplined by Catherine O'Hara as the matriarch of a family of criminals, have tested well, while the large-cast Shakespearean drama "Prince of Motor City" is said to have potential.
A few high-profile pilots, including the Max Mutchnick/David Kohan comedy and "Captain Cook's Extraordinary Atlas," have not been delivered. ABC has been taking its time, asking for episodic story lines for most of the pilots before making series pickup decisions.

The much anticipated new version of Beverly Hills, 90210 has hit a bump in the road. Rob Thomas, the creative force behind Veronica Mars, has had to step back from the project.
Thomas has had a lot of good luck lately. His new version of Cupid -- based on his 1998 Jeremy Piven series of the same name -- and Good Behavior -- a dramedy about a family of thieves -- have both been ordered to pilot by ABC. The alphabet network has first dibs on Thomas' schedule so he's had to pull back on his 90210 involvement for CW.
This doesn't mean however that Thomas won't be involved. Sources report that he was in casting sessions a few days ago. AnnaLynne McCord (Nip/Tuck) was just revealed as the second actor to be cast in the 90210 pilot. She'll play the sexy and spoiled Naomi Bennett who has an on-again/off-again relationship with...
