Devon Bostick: 10 Best Movies & TV Shows
Image
The best Devon Bostick movies and TV shows include an interesting mix of young adult, sci-fi, and historical epics that shows his range as an actor. Bostick got his start thanks to his parents, as his mother is a casting director and his father is an actor and fight coordinator. The actor got his start as a child actor and had his first movie role at 13 in the horror movie Godsend. While only a teen, he has worked regularly since that time.

After a few years of taking on small movie roles and one-shot TV appearances, he finally enjoyed his first major role with the TV series Being Erica in 2009 and then achieved his true breakout when he took on the role of Roderick Heffley in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movie franchise. Since then, Bostick has proved his versatility with TV shows like The 100 and movies like Oppenheimer,...

Out Come the Wolves Review | All Bite & No Brains in Hunting Thriller
Image
Out Come the Wolves pits man versus nature in a bloody and visceral fight for survival that doesn't quite pass the logic test. The simple premise has a journalist and his fianc joining her best friend for a weekend wilderness hunting trip that goes horribly awry. Sharp camerawork, quick edits, and a literally growling soundtrack create tension when the script comes up lacking. The characters, initially thought out with believable exposition, fall into the mindless trap of genre idiocy that turns ostensibly smart people into lunch meat. An attempt at more cerebral underpinnings falls flat when common sense is chucked out the window.

Out Come the Wolves 2/5 RThrillerHorrorAction

Three friends decide to spend the weekend hunting, but when they venture out of their cabin and into the woods, they soon become the hunted.

Every PlayStation Plus Extra & Premium Game Available February 2023
Image
February is slated to be filled with an interesting smattering of new games for PlayStation Plus subscribers in a variety of genres. As usual, each of the three tiers will receive a selection of titles based upon which level they subscribe to. However, even with the lowest subscription tier, Ps+ Essential, players will be treated to titles spanning everything from horror to skateboarding games.

February is shaping up to arguably be a more diverse month for PlayStation Plus games than January was, at least in terms of the Essential subscription, which slanted towards sci-fi the precious month. That being said, the higher tiers did get more variety last month, with titles like the musical Sayonara Wild Hearts and Fmv mystery game Erica dotting the list as well. Regardless of which subscription players have, every PlayStation Plus user will likely have something new to check out this month.

Fox Picks Up Canadian Legal Drama ‘Diggstown’ From Entertainment One
Image
Fox has picked up Canadian legal drama “Diggstown” from Entertainment One.

Created by Floyd Kane, and starring Vinessa Antoine, the series from Canadian public broadcaster CBC follows Marcie Diggs (Antoine), a star corporate lawyer who reconsiders her priorities and moves to work in a legal-aid office after her aunt commits suicide following the pressures of a malicious prosecution. Among a new group of ragtag lawyers, Marcie is driven by one thing: to never again allow innocent lives to be destroyed by the justice system.

Fox has swooped for seasons 1 and 2 of the drama. The acquisition marks the latest Canadian pick-up by a U.S. broadcaster — a trend that has grown in popularity in the last year as the Covid-19 crisis has stunted production Stateside but has had less of an impact north of the border.

The cast includes Natasha Henstridge (“Species”), C. David Johnson (“Street Legal”), Stacey Farber (“Grace and...

Transplant on NBC: Grade the Premiere
Image
Contrary to what Transplant‘s title may lead you to believe, Tuesday’s Stateside premiere of the Canadian drama is not about a medical transplant team — and that’s a good thing. Instead, the premise of the series — imported by NBC to fill its coronavirus-impacted fall schedule — is about something far more interesting: Bashir Hamed (Jett‘s Hamza Haq) is a Syrian doctor who has come to Canada to escape the civil war in his homeland.

Like many immigrants, Bashir finds himself working in a restaurant instead of the profession he was trained in. Then one night, a truck crashes into the food establishment.

3 Free PlayStation 4 Games Now Available For Ps Plus Members
Image
Last month, PlayStation Plus members were able to download free copies of the third person shooter Star Wars Battlefront II as well as the first person shooter Call of Duty: WWII.

Both games, one set in a galaxy far, far away and the other taking place during Europe’s bloodiest war, have now been replaced by new offers valid throughout the month of July. These include NBA 2K20, Rise of the Tomb Raider and Erica. As with last month’s entries, the games will remain on your PlayStation forever after you download them, even after the offer expires.

NBA 2K20 is a basketball simulation title that came out in August 2019. Published by 2K Games, it’s essentially the FIFA equivalent of basketball, and allows players to hone their skills alone or test them against bots as well as other real-life opponents.

Rise of the Tomb Raider, meanwhile, is a reboot...

Sony Giving PlayStation 4 Players Several Freebies This Month
It doesn’t feel like it’s been 10 full years since the launch of PlayStation Plus, but time flies when you’re having fun, right? For just $60 a year, Sony’s online multiplayer subscription service allows PlayStation 4 owners to access chat functionalities and play games with their friends, but it also comes with two free games per month. They’re not always winners as is evident by May’s offerings of Farming Simulator 19 and Cities: Skylines, but some months have exceptional free giveaways. June proved that point admirably when Sony gave subscribers Call of Duty: WWII and Star Wars Battlefront II, and now they’re doing it again with July’s PlayStation Plus games.

NBA 2K20 and Rise of the Tomb Raider: 20 Year Celebration Edition will headline PlayStation Plus in July. Even better, these titles will be joined by an additional game, the interactive live-action drama simply titled Erica. With...

Sony Reveals The Most Popular PlayStation Plus Games
While Sony certainly hasn’t won itself any brownie points from fans recently for the content being offered through PlayStation Plus, it has proven to be a massively successful initiative for the company. Promos For New Seasons Of Dark Matter And Killjoys Released
Although many of our favorite shows are about to take a few months off, that doesn’t mean your TV will become obsolete during the summertime. SyFy intends to heat things up with the release of two trailers promoting the sophomore seasons of Dark Matter and Killjoys.

I admit that it’s not often I become addicted to a summer series, but I found myself pleasantly surprised when Dark Matter effectively entralled me with its intrigue, space exploration, and great characters that were just as unaware of who they were as the viewer was. In addition to the promo video, which can be viewed at the top, SyFy has released an official synopsis that provides insight into the coming season as...
