    Good, silly fun

These films are starting to hit their stride, or I'm finally used to them, or both. This was similarly enjoyable to Nobita's Little Star Wars, which was released one year before. Nobita and the Steel Troops steals the design of Optimus Prime (which itself might've stolen some design from a Japanese series; I only know so much) and then has a fun plot about an alien invasion. There's also a new sci-fi concept introduced here that makes me respect the ideas they had for this series - the whole mirror world was really cool, and I could've happily spent more time just watching them mess around in it (loved the shopping for free groceries scenes).

The pervy scenes here are saved for a robot who still looks uncomfortably young, but not as young as the young girl who's usually in those weird scenes. Plus, the whole being a robot thing... some might view it as an excuse, but it made it a little less gross in my eyes.

I also just watched Murmur of the Heart tonight, so maybe I've built up a greater tolerance for uncomfortable scenes featuring young characters.
