A well made movie . Story was simple , but narration was very well handled in unique way , which made film more interesting . Two sub genre in single movie , first half was a revenge thriller and second half a survival thriller . First half was better than second half . Few dark humor worked well . Characterisation in movie was very well designed , eventhough most of the character had less screentime , they well Potrayed it . Cast done their job very well . Technical team done a great job , cinematography , editing , BGM and sound effects were topnotch . I felt bit disappointing the way they ended and there were few lip syncing issues . There was a surprise cameo at end . Overall a good movie , which deserves to be watch it on big screen , don't miss it , must watch . Most of the cinphiles gonna love it .

The film Kadaseela Biriyani was a cinematic work belonging to the thriller drama genre, directed by Nishand Kalidindi.

The narrative is structured around a single day. The three siblings had devised a plan to assassinate the perpetrator of their father's murder. With the exception of the younger sibling, Chikku Pandi, the family has a history of criminality. Chikku Pandi was raised in a distant location, under the care of his father. The assassination plot against the accused ultimately fails due to the intervention of Chikku Pandi. They decided to assassinate the accused on the same day and they successfully completed of their mission. The accused's son, a psychopathic individual, seeks retribution for his father's death. Unfortunately, the elders of Chikku Pandi perished in an accident, resulting in the Chikku pandi's arrest by the police. The psychopathic individual attempts to kill him but is ultimately unsuccessful.

The script is well-written and adheres to a coherent narrative structure. The visual elements are also effectively integrated into the story. All performances are noteworthy, particularly that of Hakeem Shahjahan, who plays the role of the psychopathic character. His performance is particularly noteworthy for its ability to engage in the scenes. The film's hallmark elements contribute to its overall recommendation.

Kadaseela Biriyani is not your average Tamil movie and may not appeal to all. To surmise, within every simple man lies a beast and within every beast lives a simple man. The movie (teaser) poster is rife with details of the plot and core. This is a multilayered movie that lets the viewer decipher it to their own perceptions.

The cast and crew have done a terrific job in all departments. Kudos to the director on his debut movie. When one thinks that he was roped in for a narrative voice over, Vijay Sethupathi's cameo comes in as a surprise.

A good watch if you leave behind all expectations of a traditional movie format.

Kadaseela Biriyani is a film which is a new attempt for Tamil Cinema, which shows that a revenge drama can also be narrated in this kinda way. The performances of Hakkim Shah, Vasanth Selvam,Vijay Ram And Dinesh Mani are childish,witty,silly and comic.

A well structured screenplay packed with dark comedy and violence which makes you laugh at comic scenes and keep you hooked at some rage and violent scenes. The interval block will make you laugh hard that you can't stop laughing. I laughed out loud and some people at the theatre turned and see me. Dialogues were good. The characterization of all actors were constructed really well. The film runs in the voice over of Vijay Sethupathi ,who also plays a unexpected cameo role and also comes in a climateric scene, which puts the audience into awe. The cinematography was very very good,especially wide and top angle shots. For every sequence or some scenes, a particular color tone is maintained and that also looks quaint. Sound designing at it's best that you could even hear very minute sounds if you watch it in the theatre. Music was composed in a different way which is also appreciated. Excellent direction by director Nishanth Kalidindi, which deserves appreciation. On a whole, a great and new attempt in Tamil Cinema which came out really well. Another request which is please support these kinda films and not cliches, and if you support these kind of independent films,you can see a brighter future in Tamil Cinema.

There need to be appreciation given to the Director. Firstly the location , They have choose Kerala as the base location for the movie which is fully green and beautiful.

The movie has some awkward scenes that they talk about farting etc. But despite of any negatives, the movie picks up its own tension, thrill After a while. The build Up for the Antagonist Was amazing. This movie should be watched only if you're in a mood to watch a movie like Aaranyakandam type.

Good thriller for one time watch, Nice location, forest backdrops, kind of end of seat story, over all the acting was also good, Not a family watch because of violence, but overall good thriller.

Kadaseela Biriyani is directed by a debut but it doesn't look like one. It is a well made film with beautiful visuals, good music and an interesting premise. The problem is, the director's intentions get lost in the middle and the plot becomes a mess once things starts go out of hands for the protagonist. The antagonist 's portrayal and his actions were initially brutal. But later on, I felt that the director just wanted to create a killing machine just for the sake of cinematic liberty. By the end of the movie , I felt that he's a cheap iteration of Anton Chigurh. The third act is a total mess. Wanted to give a 7.5 but for a debut movie, the director deserves a 8.

Kadaseela biriyani is an unstructured, uniquely explained story in a new paradigm which contains the essential comedy, unexpected delivery and fine grained sequences.

Once I saw the trailer of this film I couldn't resist watching it on theatres... The movie grips your attention throughout and added a new flavour in storytelling via aesthetic cinematography, sound design and editing... Don't wish to divulge much about the film... Do experience in theatres.. Film like Kadaseela Biriyani are moving the film industry to unexplored dimensions.... Kudos to the whole team, wish to see more from them in future.... Watch without expectations and u will be surprised..

Some movies though experimental have great justification in terms of making and writing. In this movie, the characters dont have a proper name and there is no reason for the same. Its the same road and forest scenes throughout the movie. And, the illogical nature of the 3 leads does not evoke laughter (or) any emotion. Okay if you like experimental movies!!

From the very first frame you know that you are in for a twisted ride.

The flick seems to be usual one but one can't ignore that it's breaking all the cliches and entertaining rather than usual way is somewhat a tough one that too for a debutant it's bit risky hope we could get more precious product from the director ....Cinematography is the soul of the movie with fantabulous wide and top angle shot at many places...VJS narration maintains the tempo of the movie and his appearance is mesmerizing...with the authentic and gripping tale of revenge and dark comedy KB is a breath freshner for typical buffs.

The movie is brilliantly told and keeps you always on the edge. The story is simple, but its pace sporadic. The shock value is on point, and the humor unapologetic. Well done team, you make me proud.

When Kadaseela Biryani first opens up, you feel it's gonna be like those trivial stories about vengeance. So glad the film took a new direction 😀 Kadaseela Biryani was wonderful, containing amazing odd humor and very fascinating characters that kept us engaged through and through

-As a dark comedy, Kadaseela Biryani successfully made us laugh at many awkward moments while the characters kept a serious face. The brothers had such an unconventional and aggressive relationship with each other; actually, Periya (Vasanth Selvam) and Ila (Dinesh Mani) were even ready to kill their brother for refusing to avenge their father. Their mother also ordered the brothers to kill Chikku because she was ashamed of his cowardice 😂 -Cinematography added a plus by filming in a brisk and eccentric style -Acting was effortless, kudos to the entire cast!

-The narrator's voice carried us on a nice voyage to find out about this family. Characters were gradually introduced and spiced up the story; they acted in a bizarre manner either driven by excessive anger, irrational behavior, or careless attitude. There were no boring scenes. Loved the themes spotlighted on vengeance, family values, and ambitions.

Cinematography is very good, Movie starts with direct plot without any delay. Cinematography is extremely good through out the film. Decent BGM, All actors did a decent job, especially antagonist and protagonist roles can be appreciated.

Right from the first frame we'll know this is will be an unusual movie. When seeing the genre shift in the middle of the movie it vaguely reminds of Parasite (korean). First half is a black comedy. And second half turns into a thriller. Vijay sethupathy's voice over is a big plus without which it would have been hard to grapple a lot of fact about 3 brothers.

There are few slow moments in the first half and a climax that seem offtrack from the movie's tone.

Nevertheless this is a brave attempt with apt dialogues in 2 different languages and relevant acting.

I am a person who doesn't enjoy Kollywood a lot but this film literally is the best film I have watched in a decade of Kollywood. This movies is fast paced with a story which runs fast and is narrated very well. I saw this and on Netflix and after watching it I immediately wanted to write a review. I have never written a review for a movie before but this movie made me write it. The story is based on a teenager named Chikku Pandi who strives to have a simple life but is later forced into killing the man who murdered their father. Now believe me it sounds odd and a bit rural but don't knock it till you try it. The cinematography is good but the drone shots are a little broken and have a ot of noise. IMO the noise in the drone shots could have been reduced. The plot twists in this movies go to and fro.

Overall 10/10.

A wannabe Guy Ritchie film tries hards to be positioned (or get mentioned) in that league falls and dies like just Periya Pandi and Ila Pandi.

We just watch it like the clueless Chikku Pandi while our precious time being burnt down like Andrew as we just have to watch it till the end of the pathetic ending... Just to end.

Dull thud with pathetic climax... It was dead slow in narration and the whole concept looks pathetic when the kid enter into violent actions... The best part of the movie is unique characters and superb cast. Other than that it has nothing... I was expecting that something is going to happen and movie will pick up, but till the end it goes in same manner.... No connection to Biriyani, violent backdrop, psycho villain and revenge... all looks so disjointed and looks pathetic when it ends.

Whoever called this movie as an Art film should to be sent to prison for at least a day. I am sure the producer/director spent money to have their clients give high rating to this worthless movie. 2 Stars is really too much.

Half an hour short film has been lengthened to 2 hours..You need to be calm . And dialogues are not audible. Unable to know what's happening

There is no fear seeing the villain. No sympathy for the people dying. I was like what this movie Is coming to say??

You can watch this movie doing some other work. You won't miss anything.. I got head ache. I think they need to show this movie to the people who give award.
