(Warning: The following post contains spoilers from the premiere episode of Disney+’s “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.”)
In the first episode of “The Falcon and the Winter Soldier,” we learn a very important thing about James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes: He was definitely using hook up apps at some point.
During the episode, Bucky’s friend, Mr. Nakasima, sets him up with Leah (Miki Ishikawa), a server at their regular sushi place, and the two later meet up for beers and Battleship games, where Leah asks if Bucky has been seeing anyone. “I tried the whole online dating thing… it’s pretty crazy. A lot of weird pictures,” Bucky answers — confirming that yes, Bucky apparently has an online dating profile.
Which to be honest is kind of amazing. Sure, Bucky is played by Sebastain Stan, who is objectively gorgeous, but he’s also 106 years old, he spent 1944-2014 as a brainwashed super assassin,...

AMC Networks’ Sundance Now has acquired Schiaffino Musarra’s Swedish crime comedy series “We Got This” from Banijay Rights for the U.S., Canada and the U.K.
The show follows George English (Musarra), a recently jobless American man living in Sweden who sets off to solve the 30-year-old murder of the former prime minister Olof Palme, in hopes that the 50 million Swedish crown ($5 million) reward can pay off his insurmountable tax bill. English teams with his closest friend, a wacky conspiracy theorist and former police officer, as he ventures into a web of intrigue.
Created and co-written by Musarra, the six-part dark comedy series is set against the backdrop of the true story of Palme’s assassination in 1986. Until recently, a reward was being offered by Swedish authorities, given Palme was hailed a national hero for his humanism. Ironically, “We Got This” finished airing in Sweden just days before...

Inner Circle’s “Bad Boys” — the unmistakable theme to the TV show “Cops,” which was pulled off the Paramount Network this week after more than 30 years on the air — amounts to a major novelty hit, but one with a long and interesting history behind it (as is so often the case with novelty hits). Its prominence and popularity are the result of an unusual series of events and circumstances which led to it becoming one of the reggae songs most beloved by non-Jamaicans.
Although based in Miami since the 1980s, Inner Circle started off in Jamaica in the late ‘60s as a group of young, middle-class musicians who would soon split off into two different entities, the other being the successful reggae group Third World. Self-contained bands like Inner Circle and Third World as recording artists have always been a relative rarity in Jamaica, where the norm is vocal groups...

An American actor-turned-screenwriter living in Sweden, Schiaffino Musarra dared to tackle his adoptive country’s “greatest tragedy and biggest embarrassment” in his crime comedy “We Got This,” which bowed May 3 on Swedish broadcaster Svt.
The show, which is repped by Banijay Rights, follows George English (Musarra), a recently jobless American man living in Sweden who sets off to solve the 30-year-old murder of the former prime minister Olof Palme, in hopes that the 50 million Swedish Crown ($5 million) reward can pay off his insurmountable tax bill. English teams with his closest friend, a whacky conspiracy theorist and former police officer, as he ventures into a web of intrigue.
“We Got This” scooped the best pitch prize at last year’s Series Mania festival in France and went into production in record time after its win, with Patrik Eklund directing and a strong cast including Alexander Karim (“The Lawyer”), Olle Sarri (“Apan...

Back in 1995, director Michael Bay’s Bad Boys, set in motion an action franchise that has since been embraced by a generation of action fans. Would you believe it has been a whopping 17 years since Bad Boys II?! In the mean time these “boys” have, like the rest of us, got a little bit older, greyer and maybe even wiser. So, finally, 2020 is the time for them to again ride together, maybe even die together but unquestionably they will still be Bad Boys For Life. And in this Michael Bay-less third entry (though he has a crafty cameo), the guys offer us the most pleasant of surprises, as this series pulls off a Mission: Impossible by showing betterment with age.
Catching up with detectives Marcus (Martin Lawrence) and Mike (Will Smith), this film sees the two contemplating what lies ahead. Marcus has just become a grandad and is circling the idea of retirement,...

Luc Besson's Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets made over $219 million at the box office worldwide. It wasn't a mega-hit, but it still did alright. I actually enjoyed the film and I'd totally be down to see a sequel or two get made.
Before the first movie even opened Besson said that he has already written the sequel and that he started work on a third film in the series as well. In regards to whether or not a sequel would get made, at the time he said:
"I don’t know if we will do it, because it’s not up to me. It’s up to the audience if they like it."
Some people enjoyed the movie, like myself, others didn't like it at all. I just enjoyed it for the crazy sci-fi adventure film that it was. It'd be pretty cool to see another adventurous story with these characters.

Just because a movie happens to be one of the biggest bombs of summer doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad movie. And that very much seems to be the case for Valerian. Sure, the movie tanked in the states, arriving as the most expensive production in France's long cinematic history. But fans who actually ventured into theaters to see it loved it for the most part. And because of that, director Luc Besson believes Valerian 2 may happen sooner than later.
There were some big disappointments at the summer box office, including King Arthur: Legend of the Sword and Dark Tower. But perhaps none landed with a louder thud than Valerian and the City of a Thousand Planets, based on an old comic book that most in this country aren't overly familiar with. The movie was a big budget visual roller coaster that looked like nothing that has come before. Sure,...

What better way to enter the holiday season than with a Ben 10: Omniverse 3-part story arc?
“Duel of the Duplicates” kicks off this weekend in “The Ultimate Heist.” We’ve had a chance to preview all three episodes, and revel in the Tennyson antics, alien transformations, surprises and plot twists. The rush took me back to “The Forge of Creation” episode of Ben 10: Ultimate Alien. It was in that story that we first met “Ultimate Kevin” – the events of which nearly led to Kevin and the universe’s demise.
Thankfully, we got through all that drama. “Duel of the Duplicates” may not feature Ultimate Kevin, but the events of this arc will surely ripple throughout the rest of the season.
Without giving away any major spoilers, here are 13 Focus Points on “Duel of the Duplicates”:

Jerome Salles ("Largo Witch") will direct a $37 million 3D biopic of French oceanographer and filmmaker Jacques-Yves Cousteau reports Variety
No-one has yet been cast as Cousteau in what's being described as an "adventure film featuring many underwater scenes" according to producer Nathalie Gastaldo.
Laurent Turner ("The Inner Circle") adapted the biography "Capitaine de la Calypso" penned by Cousteau's colleague of four decades Albert Falco.
