fairy tale

Pierre Richard and the homage to cinema are the only motives for see, with high indulgence, this very, very easy comedy.

A maths teacher, very severe, becomes, for be keeper of a broche, the savior of a film character. A lot of childish adventures, absurd situations, a kind of humor and slices of classic films. Not very impressive but French in profound sense.

It is ridiculous to pretend to much from film. It use an eccentric idea in very free manner and that is all. But the flavour of old fairy tales is a virtue, like the Mellies films scenes So, easy fun and nothing so bad.

A Cringe-Inducing Disaster That Should Be Forgotten Forever

Cinéman is not just a bad movie. It's a cinematic catastrophe. It attempts to be a love letter to classic film genres but ends up as an incoherent, painfully unfunny, and deeply embarrassing mess that insults the very medium it tries to celebrate.

Franck Dubosc delivers one of his worst performances to date, hamming up every scene with no restraint, in a script so empty and idiotic it could have been written on a napkin. The jokes don't land at all. The supposed tribute to cinema feels more like a parody written by someone who's never watched a movie in their life.

Every scene drags like a punishment, every line grates on the nerves, and every reference falls completely flat. It's rare to see a film fail on so many levels: writing, directing, acting, editing, tone... you name it.

It's a film so bad, it feels like an attack on the viewer's intelligence and patience.

__________________________

POSITIVE : The end credits, because the nightmare is finally over

NEGATIVE : Embarrassingly unfunny from start to finish / Franck Dubosc's overacting turns every scene into agony / Completely squanders its concept with incoherent execution / Zero charm, zero respect for cinema, zero entertainment value.
