Despite the ongoing fires in Los Angeles that have caused numerous deaths and billions in property damage, Fast and Furious star Vin Diesel is determined to finish shooting Fast X: Part 2 in the City of Angels. Los Angeles served as the setting for the first film all the way back in 2001, but since then, the franchise has gone global, and visited such locales as Tokyo, England, Azerbaijan, and Berlin.

Taking to Instagram to share his desire to bring Fast X: Part 2 "back home," Diesel posted a photo of himself and fellow co-star Jordana Brewster (seen below), who has portrayed his sister Mia since the series' inception more than two decades ago. In the caption that accompanied the picture, he said it was Brewster who opened his eyes to bringing the franchise back to where it all started, and now he's as determined as ever to make that happen.

There's one moment in Wind and Truth that I didn't see coming, and now The Stormlight Archive wouldn't feel the same without it. Colm Meaney, the Irish actor perhaps best known for playing Miles O’Brien across all seven seasons of “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” but with a wealth of other major film and TV credits to his name, is set to be honored with the Irish Academy Award for lifetime achievement.

Presented at the Irish Film & Television Academy (IFTA) awards on Feb. 14, the honor will celebrate a career spanning five decades that has seen Meaney work with some of the world’s most renowned filmmakers and actors.

“To say I was surprised when I got the news that IFTA wanted to give me this award, would be an understatement. Ever since his breakout hit Hush, Flanagan has been one of the most sought-after horror directors working in Hollywood. Hes helmed acclaimed movies like Geralds Game and Ouija: Origin of Evil, and from 2018 to 2023, Flanagan had an impressive run of five great horror shows on Netflix. Following the dismal reception to The Exorcist: Believer, Flanagan has been tapped to direct a reboot of The Exorcist franchise thats set to be released on March 13, 2026. The Peacock original series Teacup recently received some high praise from Stephen King, who complimented the series before its October release, comparing it to Lost and From. Screen Rant reports that one cast member, Boris McGiver, who plays Donald Kelly in the series, was touched the author spoke so highly of the show. Teacup was inspired by Robert R. McCammons novel, Stinger.

The horror/thriller follows three families trapped on a rural Georgia farm called the Chenoweth Ranch. The neighbors have to pull together to fight against a deadly threat. McGiver credited the shows writer and creator Ian McCulloch and agreed with Kings observation that every scene in the show has a purpose and there is little downtime.

Sebastian Stan recently revealed that he came close to landing the role of Captain James T. Kirk in director J.J. Abrams' 2009 Star Trek reboot. The casting process for Kirk was under a considerable amount of scrutiny at the time, considering how iconic William Shatner's portrayal of Kirk was. The coveted role would eventually go to Chris Pine, which catapulted the actor into stardom. Stan would find massive success two years later with his role as 'Bucky Barnes' in Captain America: The First Avenger.

Paul King, who is known for directing 2023s Wonka has just signed a deal with Disney to direct a new Prince Charming film. Per Deadline, sources say King will direct the movie and Simon Farnaby and Jon Croker will co-write with King.

House of the Dragon was the first Game of Thrones spinoff, but it certainly won't be the last. Even before Game of Thrones' ending, HBO was exploring ways to continue telling stories in Westeros. Now that House of the Dragon itself is a great success (even if season 2 was somewhat divisive on account of its shorter episode count), that will only further embolden plans for the franchise, which will expand with A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms' release sometime in 2025.
