Saw Eric Robert's name and said to myself "how bad can it be". 120 minute movie that should have been a 15 minute Dust short on you tube. Avoid this movie Unless you are a film student and need to write a paper on how to make a really bad movie.
The movie has no plot until it's literally spelled out on the screen. I'm guessing they were going for a Twilight Zone type of plot where there are a lot of unrelated scenes that come together in the end with some type of plot twist. It's pretty clear from the start that the start that the screenplay for this movie was shorter than this review. Amazon should remove it and replace it with a re rerun of Barnaby Jones.

Yeah, I thought maybe I was missing the point when I kept jumping forward looking desperately for a plot, or moral, or something, anything I could relate to. It's just not there. This is an empty room with boring pictures.
The good news is I watched and hour and 20 min. Movie in 15 minutes, 15 long, boring, wasted minutes. I looked for the reviews that granted it 3 stars on Amazon just in case I was being to harsh. Ha! One star is all it garnered. Everyone hated this waste of time.
I can't believe Amazon put this out there for Prime members to watch. I feel ripped off for my $ 139. Membership.

You folks must be doing some serious drugs... smh.
The actors were pretty decent. I was surprised to see Eric Roberts in such a role. He is a much better actor than what this movie called for. Some of the "out of body" experiences were not that great, especially the voices telling the guy to kill or sacrifice everyone.
The scenery was beautiful, for the most part. I even liked the intermittent scenes of the dilapidated shacks. It kinda put a sci-fi edge to the movie, but it came up short of a really good sci-fi.
The ending was reminiscent of a hippie commune. They were just missing the flowers in their hair.
Do better.

Except possibly for some of the early soundtrack, this film is awful. That's A. W. F. U. L., in EVERY respect. Twilight Zone episodes are FAR better--more gripping, more entertaining, and infinitely more comprehensible! Much of the editing is simply jarring and, ultimately annoying, and does nothing to serve a storyline, or create or enhance a mood. The disembodied, floating head of victor is FAR surpassed by the wizard's head in The Wizard of Oz. The director seems to be trying to leap-frog off of 'Solaris' (1972 (russian Solyaris) and 2002 remake starring george clooney). Indeed, virtually all of the 'effects' are just way better in thousands of other films, sci-fi or otherwise. Towards the end i asked my wife to turn the dam*ed thing off. She replied that there were only 20 minutes left; it has to be one of the most wasted 20 minutes of my entire 70+ years. Maybe if you're heavily stoned or on an acid trip, this film could make you roll with mocking laughter. Really, do not bother with this one.
I'm not sure how this possibly won a single award. There must have been no other submissions. I'm it sure if it is the dry dead community theatre acting, or the terrible visual effects, the lame sound effects, the cheesy writing... it was bad y'all. How did these people convince Eric Roberts to use his floating head? I'm not even sure drug use would improve this movie, but I'm certain the writer was possibly using subpar psychedelics when he wrote "kill them, there is no such thing as death" Jason, how can you kill someone if death is fake? I have insomnia, I was hoping this would bore me to sleep, but I was horrified thinking, how did I end up here? Was watching early 2000's sci-fi and now this? So bad.
Spare yourself. Watch literally anything else.
