In January 2003 Mahesh Kothare offered film to Bharat Jadhav who initially declined it as by August 2003 he wanted to create a record episodes of his show Sahi Re Sahi.In September 2003 Laxmikanth Berde called Bharat Jadhav and said if your record is done go and meet Mahesh Kothare as i have not started the shooting yet and waiting for you.Laxmikanth Berde also told Bharat Jadhav not to loose this great film same night Bharat Jadhav went to Mahesh Kothare and sighed the film and firstly informed Laxmikanth Berde. Bharat Jadhav considers this film as a blessing from Laxmikanth Berde.
The film cost Rs. 75 lakhs to make, making it the costliest Marathi movie made so far.
This is the last hit film of Laxmikant Berde.
This film celebrated a Silver Jubilee, the first Marathi film to have done so in several years.
The movie became a huge hit at the box office.
