This game is just amazing crazy battles crazy anemia and amazing characters i love this game so much yes there are some things that were boring but it's a crazy game.
This is absolutely one of the so called "love letter to the fans and the franchise". It took, once again, the Dragon Ball franchise to the RPG genre, with no multiplayer, just story focused. The animations are brutal, the recreation of stories we already know also are brutal.
I would a 100% recommend this game to anyone that wants to learn about the Dragon Ball serie without having to go through the whole progress of watching the entire anime.
It highlights the best moments of the saga and it summarizes everything very well.
The only thing that I have to say is that sometimes battles can get to be a little repetitive, but still, really enjoyable.

Despite being the thousandth time the dragon ball Z story has been adapted, this is the first game that lets players start at the beginning of Goku's story to the end. The game is an RPG that allows players to level up and customize Goku and friends as the game progresses. The game's highlights would have to be its engaging boss fights, cinematics, its great attempt to bridge sagas, and visual presentation. Unfortunately, the game loses a lot of points for its repetitive side quests, progressions system, often tedious combat, and lack of voice acting throughout the games semi-open world. Overall, I feel like the developers who made Kakarot can learn from what worked and what didn't and really make something truly amazing in the likely successor to Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot.
If you are a fan of DBZ this is an outstanding game that brings you all the way from the Saiyan Saga right to the Buu Saga! Incredibly well done. Feels like a coles notes version of the tv series. Animation is very well done, story remains true to the tv series and for even someone like myself who isn't a fan of button masher fighting games, even the fight sequences are challenging and fun!
10/10 - A BADASS RPG DONE RIGHT.
What If You Could Live Dragon Ball Z?
Not just fight through it.
Not just watch it.
But walk the Earth as Goku-train, fish, fly, hunt, fight, and feel the journey?
That's Kakarot.
And it delivers exactly what the fans have wanted for decades.
**This Ain't Just a Fighter.
This is an RPG With a Power Level.**
You're not going from match to match like a traditional DBZ game.
You're living the saga: Fly through open areas full of side quests and secret items.
Collect ingredients and cook meals to boost stats.
Train to unlock abilities.
Level up characters like Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Vegeta, and more.
Take breaks between world-ending battles to fish and chill with your family.
It's a beautiful blend of slice-of-life and world-shattering combat.
**The Story:
Faithful. Emotional. Explosive.**
You go from the Saiyan Saga to Buu, and with the DLCs?
You hit Battle of Gods, Resurrection F, Future Trunks, Bardock, and more.
And it's not just recap-it's enhanced with new scenes, side character arcs, and moments that make everything feel personal.
Piccolo and Gohan's bond? Hits harder.
Vegeta's pride and evolution? Unmatched.
Goku's death and return? Legendary.
Gohan vs. Cell? Pure emotion.
Majin Vegeta's sacrifice? STILL hurts.
And the original soundtrack + anime OSTs seal the deal.
**Combat:
Fast-Paced, Cinematic, Satisfying.**
This isn't your arena fighter formula. It's action RPG combat with: Real-time battles Ki charging Dodging, vanishing, blocking, countering Customizable super attacks and transformations Boss fights that feel like boss fights
Every Kamehameha, every Final Flash, every Spirit Bomb-you feel it.
Especially when the screen goes dark, the music swells, and Goku goes Super Saiyan for the first time.
It's goosebumps every damn time.
**Exploration:
Earth, Namek, the Afterlife-It's All Here.**
This game lets you fly around and breathe in the DBZ world: Explore Goku's house, Capsule Corp, Kami's Lookout Visit Namek, train with King Kai Collect Z-Orbs, find Dragon Balls, talk to NPCs Revisit old fights, train under Whis, summon Shenron
There's so much flavor and heart built into the world. It's not just a backdrop-it's a character in itself.
DLC - Expansions That Add, Not Drain.
The extra content isn't just fluff. It's real story-building: Beerus & Super Saiyan God.
Frieza's return.
Future Trunks' ruined world.
Bardock's tragic final stand.
Goku's 23rd Tenkaichi Tournament.
Goku vs. Piccolo-young and wild.
Each one expands the DB timeline, adds new gameplay, and respects the lore.
Final Word - 10/10
Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot is a love letter to the fans -and one of the best RPGs set in an anime universe.
It's beautiful, it's emotional, it's faithful, and it lets you live the legend.
From fatherhood to final battles, from flying Nimbus to fusing with Vegeta-it's all here.
10/10.
If you grew up with DBZ?
This one is sacred.
