ThanksKilling (2008)

Trivia

ThanksKilling

Edit
The central tagline, "Gobble, gobble, motherf*cker!", was thought of before the movie's actual plot.
No one wanted to distribute the film at first, so the filmmakers sold the DVD on Amazon themselves. It took a year to sell 1,000 copies.
The infamous opening scene with Wanda Lust was shot without a permit in a public park.
The title card "To be continued in space..." was placed in the movie as a complete joke, with no intention of any sequels. Nonetheless, a sequel, ThanksKilling 3 (2012), was released three years later.
While writing the script, and even through filming, creators Kevin Stewart and Jordan Downey always tried to come up with a name for the killer turkey, but nothing ever stuck. In the end, they simply referred to him as "turkey" in the film. In 2012 while raising funds for the sequel, they again wanted to find a proper name for the character. They finally settled on simply "Turkie".
