gang goes in search of treasure

A heist series from mexico! It seems most of the guests staying at the resort hotel are looking for a lost treasure. Even one of the employees. And we learn right near the start that one of the guests even has a map of where the treasure is. As usual, there's the computer guy, the athletic one, the genius, the diver...etc. It gets pretty silly in episode three, but i won't give any spoilers. And the group keeps getting bigger. Every time they bring in another person, they have to give away more of the treasure. Lots of cussing, but this has one of the best english dub tracks i've ever heard! Story is a bit silly, but it's fun if we just go with the flow. Really fun. Will they ever find the treasure? Directed by adrian grunberg. Story by pablo tébar. It looks like there will be a season two! Although this season one stands on its own just fine.

Very entertaining with very good acting. Bingeworthy

This movie is a very good action adventure. The acting is believable, the storyline is fun, and there are a lot of good twists. The lines that are supposed to be funny are funny. A good movie to just sit down and be entertained by.

Although the story is similar to other "find the treasure" stories the writing and comedic talent of the actors delivering the lines puts a new spin on the story.

The pace is good, no plot holes, and the directing takes advantage of each actors talents.

I had no problem with the dubbing.

The cinematography is excellent.

I hope it will be renewed for another season.

Great storyline!

I loved Ester in Elite and her recent film last year, she's only 24 years old and she's becoming such a promising actress! The storyline for me is brilliant, love treasure hunting series outer banks that kind of thing, really hope they renew this for a second season!

They all did an amazing job the actors and actresses, so many twists and turns, good amount of action and there's room to develop a second season for sure.

It wasn't corny like most of these attempted tv series in this category, just straight up action packed fun from the get go, if you want a really good series to watch, I recommend this, also if you don't speak fluent Spanish like me watch it dubbed in your own language.

Ester Expósito. The Return.

If you like fun and different series, you will love Bandidos. If you enjoyed historical titles like Ocean's Eleven or Indiana Jones, this new Netflix production will surely not leave you indifferent. Are you a fan of Ester Expósito? Well then, this will surely quickly become your favorite series. Together with the great Alfonso Dosal, she will fight to obtain the most precious treasure, on a path full of surprises and crazy situations. Without a doubt, one of the revelations of this year 2024, which everyone is talking about. Proof of this is that its second season has already been confirmed, which will continue these first seven episodes. Bandits, without a doubt a highly recommended series.

A Treasure Hunt with Uneven Ground

Bandidos, the new Netflix series that premiered in March 2024, is a wild ride through the Mayan Riviera. It follows Miguel, a charming hustler, who assembles a ragtag team of specialists to recover the legendary treasure of the Snake King. While the series boasts some fun action sequences and a charismatic cast, it stumbles with underdeveloped plot elements and pacing issues.

The show's strength lies in its ensemble. Alfonso Dosal shines as Miguel, bringing a roguish charisma that keeps you invested. The rest of the crew provide a good mix of humor and skills. The action sequences, though not overly plentiful, are well-choreographed and exciting. The camerawork adds a dynamic energy to the fight scenes and chases.

The treasure hunt itself feels a bit underdeveloped. The series spends more time establishing the characters than building suspense around the puzzles and dangers they face. The lore of the Mayan treasure feels teased but not fully explored. The series struggles with pacing at times. Certain episodes meander, while others rush through plot points. This inconsistency can leave viewers feeling disengaged.

The production value of Bandidos is solid. The cinematography captures the beauty of the Mayan Riviera, and the score effectively blends action-thriller elements with a touch of Latin flair.

Bandidos is a fun, albeit uneven, adventure. If you're looking for a light-hearted treasure hunt with a charming cast, you might enjoy this series. However, those seeking a more suspenseful and intricately plotted adventure may be left wanting.

It's a breezy weekend watch, but not a treasure trove of storytelling.

Not Sure Why all the low scores

This show exceeded expectations. I cannot begin to understand why it only has a 6.5 (at the time of review) rating. It has the right mix of action, comedy, interesting characters, adventure, and plot twists (though the last one is pretty obvious).

The "mix" is the key here. There have been a lot of similar shows and movies lately that botch this mix. Take "Obliterated" which went over-the-top humor during extremely violent scenes, making it repulsive and offensive to watch. Or the Brad Pitt movie "Bullet Train", which did the very same thing. It is OK to have some jokes here and now during the action, to give a sense of bravado. But the excessive comedy makes it cruel and unwatchable.

This show maintains an appropriate level of suspense, peril, levity, and comedy, that is just...works.

The characters are interesting, the story is engaging, the romances are endearing. Definitely better than a 6.5.

Unwatchable

I've no idea who these people are marking this show a ten, I find nothing in this show to even make it average.

I know people have different tastes, but really a ten for something that's probably best suited for children aged around 10.

The acting is plastic, the script is formulated and pathetic, there is nothing here that's worth anyone's time. I've seen better TV commercials than this show.

I got through episode one, it took me three attempts to sit through episode two, I gave up eventually.... I did try, but I found it too excruciating to watch.

The characters are just unlikable, the dialog is something from a badly produced school play.

Move along, nothing to see here...

Really entertaining, don't let the bad reviews fool you.

It continues to baffle me how people will watch a show dubbed into their own language (mostly native english speakers will do that), and then complain about the "poor" acting. Are you really that dense?

Also, it continues to amaze me how little apprecation people have for other peoples' cultures. Let me break it down for you: Different countries different idiomas, different ways of speaking and acting, and different jokes.

I thought this series was absolutely lovely, it was never meant to be a serious crime series, it was purely meant as comedy. Kind of like many, mány north-american treasure hunting story tries to attain.

The acting was more than fine, if you can just try to get rid of your culural bias for once. You might learn someting and actually be entertained by this little gem. (No pun intended;)

Also: absolutely loved the musical score, many south- and meso-american classics, well done!

The scenery was ofcourse very appealing to look at , I mean, who doesn't like the Caribean??

Except for some negative nancy's who will always give bad reviews to ANY foreign series.

Only if you have time to waste

I quit halfway the second episode of season two. First season was sort of okayish despite some annoyance about timing and plot issues. The second season is downhill to the point where it became unbearable for me

The stories are simple and that's okay, but the way they unfold are close to ridiculous. The scenarios are filled with inconsistencies, plot holes and times issues. Fighting scenes are of boyscout level and the quality of acting is sub average for most of the actors.

The whole time it feels like you're looking at a tryout of a rough first draft of a movie. After having watched, one can only conclude that there's a lot of work to be done before airing this one. Alas, the producers decided otherwise.

Bandidos is a true insult to an intelligent audience.

Don't miss the best version of Ester Expósito in 'Bandidos'

It wasn't easy but the Spanish actress did it again. Her interpretation of Lilí is another gift for lovers of good cinema, good series and good theater.

Although it may seem difficult, Ester Expósito once again teleports us to a unique interpretive universe and each scene she stars in is a new poetry, once again exceeding all expectations.

Lilí will be accompanied by a very special group of Bandits. This group of Bandits is headed by Alfonso Dosal. They will face all the necessary obstacles to find the keys they need to reach an ancient treasure related to the Mayan culture.

Will they achieve their goal?

Silly and trite...but fails to be funny

This is yet another of the new type of Mexican series. It tries to be clever like House of Flowers but fails dismally! The script is silly and filled with predictable characters, and the events impossible to believe. Some of the scenes are just so silly, one cannot imagine it possible that the writers thought they could get away with them e.g the scene with the main character hanging from a balcony in full view of a crowd, but no one does anything. The acting is forced, the audio track barely audible, and even if viewers just went with the flow and tried to imagine it as a comedy, ignoring all the illogical and implausible twists and turns, the silliness of the plot makes that impossible to do so. The premise is that of a very watered down Indiana Jones, but the script never achieves that level of humor.....or even parody. It's just plain silly and not worth the time to watch.

Not Extraordinary but Totally Worth Watching

Bandidos is a Mexican heist drama that follows a gang of skilled misfits on a dangerous quest to uncover a long-lost Mayan treasure. The series is packed with action, suspense, and twists, showcasing the dynamics between the characters and their personal motives. With its unique blend of ancient mysteries and modern-day adventure, Bandidos keeps viewers hooked as the gang navigates betrayals, puzzles, and high-stakes challenges in their treasure hunt.

Season 1 The first season introduces a gripping storyline that quickly becomes addictive. The characters are well-written, and the treasure hunt keeps you on the edge of your seat. However, certain parts feel rushed or skipped, which slightly affects the experience. Despite this, it never feels boring and keeps you hooked throughout.

Season 2 The second season takes everything good about the first and makes it even better. The pacing improves, and the story becomes more polished. The characters continue to grow, and the twists become even more engaging, addressing the flaws from the previous season.

Conclusion Bandidos is a highly entertaining series that's perfect for binge-watching. The story is addictive, and the characters and action sequences make it worth your time. However, the history and backstory behind the treasure could have been visually presented in a more captivating way.

If you're new to the treasure-hunt genre, this show will be a fantastic experience. But if you're a seasoned fan of such stories, it might not offer anything groundbreaking. Still, it's an enjoyable series that keeps you entertained till the end.

Highly recommended for those who love action, adventure, and suspense!

Cringe acting and cringe script!

An Indiana Jones wannabe. I suppose if you are about 14 years of age, you might like this. Unfortunately, the over-the-top acting, bad script, and just about everything else in general, make this a series you really want to skip.

I even tried listening to the original Spanish version with English subtitles, but that didn't work either. I do have to admit, I just watched episode one. Someone would have to bribe me to continue watching this through to the very end.

If you did enjoy this, then I'm hoping you are enjoying your teenage years, and have a lot to learn. There are so many more quality series out there to explore.

Execellent Show

I was completely engrossed in the series from start to finish. The characters were exceptionally well-written and portrayed with incredible talent. While the storyline felt unique, I couldn't help but wish for a bit more excitement at times, although the stellar acting more than compensated for it. Among the standout performances, Ester Expósito as Lilí truly shone, delivering an engaging portrayal that was nothing short of exceptional, particularly in her role in Bandidos. It's evident that the production team spared no expense, as the series boasts high production values throughout. Bandidos undoubtedly ranks as one of the best series I've seen recently, and its quality certainly warrants a second season.

Ester is not enough.

The second season of this action/adventure series is a continuation on all levels compared to the first.

It once again follows the misadventures of the diverse group of protagonists as they try to obtain a new treasure. The way they go about it is just as bad as in other Netflix series, such as Money Heist.

Predictable script and storyline, cringe-worthy action scenes, poor humor, and filler romance. These are certainly not good tools for creating anything worthwhile.

The new characters add nothing interesting, but neither do they lower a level that is already rock bottom.

It seems there will be a third season, which I doubt will change for the better.

Love it

From the beginning to the end, you are captivated by the story. It is a very well acted series, easy to digest, a beautiful comedy with some slips in the drama, but overall it is a nice comedy. Although it looks like Indiana Jones, it is totally different, an original style, different from the Librarians, which is a plus and gives the series originality and the pleasure of watching it. I won't tell the story, but if you watch this series, I don't think you will get bored. I think even pretentious people can enjoy this series, it's fun. I would have liked to see more landscapes and action specific to the jungle. Maybe in season 2. Of course, tastes are not discussed, I gave 10 stars because in my opinion it is worth it. Enjoy!

Far cry from Indiana

I guess most of the cast and crew must have left all the high reviews. The description of the plot says everything - a rag tag crew of treasure hunters go in search of treasure.

Umm - how many times have I read a similar description?

The crew is led by Miguel, and immediately they are in trouble. He looks like a 1950's teddy boy and has no charisma at all. The rest of the cast are similarly afflicted. Their acting ability is varied - but none of them are memorable. The comedy is - well - I guess it must be Mexican because it failed to make me laugh. One question - why rip off somebodies skin when a photograph would do just as well? And why did nobody notice Miguel hanging from the balcony in a crowded room?

It's a series that demands you turn off your brain if you choose to watch any more than one episode.

My brain chose to stay awake.

Fun short series. Would recommend watching if your looking for something to watch for the weekend or a night staying in. More then excited to know it has a season 2 I am hoping Netflix doesn't cancel it. Fun filled show with some treasure hunting why not. I watched the English dubbed it didn't feel like I was watching a dubbed one at all. And more over Miguel is perfect eye candy to watch. I can watch him on mute.

Bandidos, the new fantasy of Ester Expósito

The international success that this production is receiving is not a coincidence. A fun series of clever plots. Adventure, action and comedy from the hand of a luxury cast, with actors and actresses of the stature of Alfonso Dosal, Mabel Cadena, Andrea Chaparro and Juan Pablo Medina. An unforgettable production, one of those that keeps you glued to the television screen from minute one and is capable of surprising everyone and everyone. The icing on the cake comes from Ester Expósito, who once again delights us with a sublime and prodigious performance, brave and with that incredible talent, only available to the best actresses in history.

best series

🔥 Bandidos is one of the best series I've ever watched! From the thrilling heists to the intense character development, every episode keeps you hooked. The action, suspense, and storytelling are simply top-notch. The cast delivers outstanding performances, making the show even more immersive. The cinematography and background score add so much depth to every scene, making it a visual treat.

Season 2 ended with so many unanswered questions, and I can't wait for Season 3! The twists and turns left fans on the edge of their seats, and there's still so much more to explore. The character arcs have developed beautifully, but we need to see how their journeys continue. Netflix must renew this masterpiece! The show deserves another season to continue the adventure. Fans need closure, and the story still has so much potential! Please bring back Bandidos for another thrilling ride! 💥🎬 #RenewBandidos #WeWantSeason3.
