Lar Park Lincoln, Actress in ‘Knots Landing,’ ‘Friday the 13th Part VII,’ Dies at 63

Lar Park Lincoln, who played dual characters on “Knot’s Landing” and starred in “Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood,” died April 22. She was 63.

Her company Actors Audition Studios announced her death on Facebook.

For five years, Lincoln played Linda Fairgate, daughter-in-law to the character Karen Fairgate, who was played by Michele Lee. She also appeared as the character known as Sally’s friend — who was a dead body for eight episodes.

Her first screen role was as a young sex worker in TV movie “Children of the Night” opposite Kathleen Quinlan and Mario Van Peebles.

She went on to have roles in “Heart of the City,” “Hunter,” “Outlaws,” “The Princess Academy,” “House II,” and “Highway to Heaven.”

After appearing as Tina Shepard, the teenage protagonist with telekinetic abilities in “Friday the 13th Part VII,” Lincoln appeared in “Freddy’s Nightmares,” “Murder She Wrote,” “Beverly Hills 90210” and “City of Justice.

Lar Park Lincoln Dies: ‘Knots Landing’ & ‘Friday the 13th Part VII’ Actress Was 63

Lar Park Lincoln, the actress known for playing Linda Fairgate on Knots Landing, has died. She was 63.

The Dallas-based actress’ death was announced by her company Actors Audition Studios after she died on Tuesday. A cause of death was not immediately disclosed.

“It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Lar Park Lincoln, celebrated actress, founder of Actors Audition Studios, and America’s beloved Audition Coach, on April 22, 2025,” they wrote in the post. “Over her 45-year career, Lar left an unforgettable mark on Hollywood through her dynamic performances and dedication to mentoring aspiring actors.”

Born in Dallas, Park Lincoln made her acting debut in the 1985 made-for-television movie Children of the Night, before playing Linda on Season 9 of Knots Landing in 1987 and returning for a larger arc from 1989 to 1991.

Her other TV roles include appearances on Freddy’s Nightmare, Murder She Wrote and Beverly Hills 90210.

Back in 1985, director Stuart Gordon and his collaborators drew inspiration from author H.P. Lovecraft’s 1922 serial novelette Herbert West–Reanimator for a movie that ranks as one of the greatest horror films ever made, Re-Animator. That film was followed by the sequels Bride of Re-Animator and Beyond Re-Animator – and then, even though there were plans and ideas for further sequels, the franchise, unfortunately, sputtered out. Herbert West–Reanimator has gotten other adaptations here and there over the years and now, Deadline reports that The Haunting in Connecticut screenwriters Adam Simon and Tim Metcalfe are working on Herbert West: Reanimator, a contemporary reimagining of the story.
