Impressively entertaining

I watched this movie on Fantaspoa/2009. I didn't have high expectancy on it because of the synopsis. But the truth is, you can't let people know why it is a great movie without giving spoilers.

This movie is a good-humored police mystery, with a touch of philosophy. Or, it's a philosophical movie where the questions are posed in a fun police mystery. Although it can be seen as a plain comedy, I consider the implied questions very relevant. The relationship it establishes with the audience is neither original nor unique, but it is used for many purposes and it is very successful on that. This film is worth watching. In the beginning it looks pretty average, no big deal, but the story reveals some things bit by bit, until Joseph has his great revelation. Then, the movie gets all its entertainment, as is gets funny, philosophical, thrilling, mysterious and even with action.

Highly original and very entertaining film

Joseph Rickman is a pleasant and rather eccentric school teacher, who is the object of gossip by his students, due to his committing an act of heroism 16 years previously. However, he feels his life is quite literally beyond his control. As well as that, there's a strange killer about, and Joseph has a feeling he might be next. The only thing is, everyone suspects Joseph has Schizophrenia. Is Joseph cracking up, or is something dark and horrible waiting to engulf him?

The End is a great and highly original Canadian film, that's guaranteed to put a big smile on your face after watching it. Viewers are advised to have patience with a slightly shaky start to the film. You'll be glad you held on for it's great revelation.

A well recommended film, it's an original offbeat treat for anyone.
