    MID (please read)

This game started off promising with a developer team that cared about the community of their game and listened to feedback. This though is where it went downhill, Quickly. We start off with Season 1 of a brand new chapter and what an atrocious start its was. Firstly the map. It was mid at best and had weird unnecessary mountains. 2nd the mobility around the map was horrendous. ONLY MOTORBOATS!!! WHAT!!! This was just annoying for the now slow-paced game. The rest of the chapter sucked but I'll give S2 and 4 credit. I think both of them did what they were trying to achieve perfectly. At this stage of Fortnite lifespan its trash and Epic Games don't care about their community.

    Buns chapter nil

Season 2 and 4 were good and the rest were completely unplayable.

Fortnite Chapter 2 arrived with the promise of innovation and excitement, but as players dove into the new content, it became evident that the game had taken a turn for the worse. Despite its initial promise, Chapter 2 is often remembered as a low point in Fortnite's history, characterized by missed opportunities and a lack of direction that left many fans disillusioned.

When Chapter 2 launched in October 2019, it was presented as a major overhaul of the beloved battle royale. The map was completely redesigned, with new locations and mechanics meant to reinvigorate the experience. On paper, it sounded promising. However, the reality was far less impressive. The new map, while visually appealing, felt uninspired and lacked the distinct character of its predecessor. The vast, open spaces and generic landscapes made exploration feel tedious rather than thrilling.

One of the most glaring issues with Chapter 2 was the sense of stagnation in its gameplay. The core mechanics of Fortnite remained unchanged, and while some new features were introduced, they often felt superficial. The addition of boats and swimming, for example, seemed like a half-hearted attempt to refresh the game. Instead of transforming the experience, these elements felt like gimmicks that added little substance. The novelty of swimming quickly wore off, and boats, while occasionally useful, did little to address the game's fundamental issues.

Another major letdown was the lack of meaningful updates and content. Fortnite is known for its frequent updates and collaborations, but Chapter 2 seemed to lag behind in this regard. The first few seasons introduced a series of underwhelming themed events and collaborations that failed to capture the excitement of previous seasons. The lack of engaging content led to a feeling of repetitiveness, making it hard for players to stay invested in the game.

The progression system in Chapter 2 was also a point of contention. The new battle pass system, while not fundamentally flawed, lacked the excitement and variety of earlier seasons. The rewards felt less impactful, and the overall progression felt slower and less rewarding. This made the grind for cosmetic items feel more like a chore than an enjoyable aspect of the game.

The introduction of bots, meant to ease new players into the game, was another controversial change. While intended to balance matches and give beginners a chance to learn, bots quickly became a point of frustration for more experienced players. Their presence often led to lopsided matches and a sense that the competitive integrity of the game was being compromised. This move alienated long-time fans who felt that the game was being dumbed down at the expense of its core player base.

Moreover, the communication from Epic Games during Chapter 2 was lackluster. The community felt increasingly disconnected from the developers, who seemed out of touch with the desires and concerns of the player base. The sporadic and often vague updates failed to address the pressing issues and left players feeling as though their feedback was being ignored.

In retrospect, Chapter 2 is seen as a period of missed opportunities for Fortnite. The potential for innovation and growth was there, but it was overshadowed by a lack of bold decisions and a failure to deliver on the expectations set by previous seasons. The game struggled to maintain its former glory and left many fans longing for the excitement and engagement that had characterized Fortnite's early days.

Ultimately, Fortnite Chapter 2 serves as a cautionary tale of how even a beloved game can falter when it loses sight of what made it special in the first place. While the game did eventually find its footing again with subsequent updates and new content, Chapter 2 remains a reminder of a time when Fortnite's creative spark seemed to dim.

This game is so boring at the moment. We need more updates. In Chapter 1 we could an update almost everyday. Please fix your game it used to be really fun.

Weird how this is a separate page, but ok.

Chapter 1's aesthetic is better, as well as the loot pool, but I adore the lore additions, the collab skins (freaking Deadpool got added), the very nice map, Fortnite's just as fun as its always been in my opinion!
