Home Alone... 5? The Jerk Too? 8 unbelievable straight-to-tv sequels
There's straight-to-video shame, then there's straight to TV shame. The following small screen follow-ups, then, are the most shameful of the lot.

Please note, however: all of the following first aired on the small screen. They may have ended up on DVD later, but they're telly specials through and through...

1. Home Alone 5: The Holiday Heist (2012)

Original film: Home Alone (1990)

Returning cast members: None

Stars: Christian Martyn, Jodelle Ferland, Malcolm McDowell

You'll remember the first two, and might have a dim recollection of the third - new kid, new goons - and the fourth will, hopefully, mean nothing to you (old kid, new actor playing kid, old goons, new actors playing goons, shot in South Africa).

The fifth, however, is the biggest stinker of the lot, a schmaltzy Christmas edition with a new kid, new family and new goons. Also, Malcolm McDowell - of Clockwork Orange fame - is in it,...

Francia Raisa & Ken Baunmann of The Secret Life Of The American Teenager React to Huge Plot Reveal Coming Monday
This week, We Love Soaps TV had the chance to speak with Francia Raisa and Ken Baunmann of The Secret Life Of The American Teenager about a very big (and secret) plot reveal coming up in the June 6 episode (8/7c on ABC Family). If you don't want to know what happens ahead of time, you should stop reading after the second question!

Francia (Adrian) was born and raised in southern California. After shooting Bring It On: All or Nothing opposite Hayden Panettiere of NBC's Heroes, Francia starred in the Nickelodeon film Shredderman Rules. In 2008, she shot a lead role in Spanish horror film Asd: A Soul Disowned (formerly called Underground) and was the female lead in ABC Family's original movie The Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream. You may also have seen her on the big screen as Marly in Fired Up! or on TV as a guest on In Plain Sight.

Mirrors 2 Blu-ray Review
Mirrors 2 is one of those god-awful direct-to-dvd sequels that nobody ever asks for. It’s gory, violent, poorly written and inadequately structured. The cast consists of actors and actresses that aren’t quite glamorous enough for Hollywood, either in looks or performance, but somehow suited for this type of material. The special FX are cheesy, the pacing poor. Yet, for all of its initial shortcomings, Victor Garcia’s film is immediately watchable. Where else will you see a half-naked woman garishly rip the head from her own neck, entrails and all?

Movies like this work because they increase the disgusting factor tenfold in overtly imaginative ways. The gorish FX are cheap, but such only adds to the charm. People are beheaded, disemboweled, sliced; the opening scene features a security guard forced to swallow glass. The camera never shies away from the madness because, well, it doesn’t have to.
