It was wonderful to see the development of the children and their grownups. I confess to shedding quite a few tears at the end of the series and hope that this experiment will get aged care organisations more involved in setting up similar programmes.

This is such a raw and heart-warming program showing real vulnerability. Each episode makes me cry unashamedly. 1.6 million Australians over 65 live alone. This stat blew me away. The loneliness and isolation people feel living alone is heart breaking.
To see the growth and happiness older people and "little people" experience together is just amazing. Why can't we adopt this model everywhere? Wonderful for the children and older people alike.

Such a great social experiment. I really hope they take this on board for all old people's homes in Australia. You can really tell how much happiness the children brought to these people's lives.
It is obvious from 10m in the first episode that this 'experiment' was a resounding sucess. The fact that 4 year olds are able to motivate older people so easily, is proof positive that this should be brought to more nursiung homes. Animal therapy and this type of 'child therapy' are clearly effective, especially if you have no one in your life like the residents of this show. Very heartwarming.
As a 29 year old male I would not normally watch something like this on my own but got into it as my partner was watching it and oh boy! Brought quite a couple of tears to my eye. Amazing to see how compasionate and caring humans can actually be, easy to forget as we are constantly flooded with negative news stories. Hope they can implement this model across the country!
