    instant classic

Thought this movie would be very slow but I am glad to give it a chance. You should too. I was quite curious to see this movie before I can watch Second Chance on a popular movie streaming site. The love story seems to be quite common dating scenario in the Philippines. If you are not at least Fil-Am, understand Tagalog and have lived in the Philippines, you may not be able to relate; so ignore some of the negative reviews. I can see why there are memes and quotable lines from this movie. One of Cathy Garcia-Molina's better earlier-in-her-director career movies. There are worse CGM movies out there.

SANA AKO NA LANG ULIT,..AKO NA LANG POY

Very heartbreaking movie, I shed a lot of tears on this movie. Even if you though you've already moved on one glance of that person all of the heartbreaks are coming back. I wanted to watch over and over.

This movie just kept on dragging out...

"One More Chance" is a chick flick, no doubt about. As a guy watching this, you just sit there and get annoyed, especially because the movie is about 2 hours long and tastes literally forever to get nowhere.

The storyline can be summarized with nine words: lovers break up, lovers hurts, lovers get back together.

Popoy (played by John Lloyd Cruz) is engaged to be married to Basha (played by Bea Alonzo). But Basha is being suffocated in the relationship and calls it off, needing time to be alone. Separated, they have to find their own legs in a world without one another.

The storyline is straight forward for a movie of this genre. There is nothing new to be seen here really. And as such, then the movie doesn't really impress. However, I am sure that you will eat the storyline right up if you are a woman.

I will say that Bea Alonzo did a good job with her role, as did John Lloyd Cruz, but you sit there and get really annoyed with his character, especially as he is so self-centered, narrow-minded and turns into a spiteful stalker of sorts. It is not the actor's fault, it is simply the character in the story that was a sissy joke.

This movie did have some good points and moments here and there, but ultimately, it was a struggle to get through the nearly two hours the movie dragged on for.

This is a sappy love story for a woman audience. Guys and gents, you might want to find something else to put on. Definitely not one of Philippines cinema finest moments.

    Must seen movie

I love the film, Bravo! To all the cast, director and the writers, You made me cry. John Lloyd and Bea are very realistic to their characters the way they cry huhuhu I cry too. This is also really happening in a relationship both of you will be tested, how can you both be strong, to hold on in that relationship to maintain the love. I can also relate to Maja, hindi mo talaga pwedeng ipilit yung nafe- feel mo na love, kahit andami mo ng naipundar na pundasyon, If it's not your it's not your.

It's a mix of drama, friends relationship, and comedy.

If you love romantic and drama movies, I really recommended this movies.

14 Years Later discovered this hidden Gem

A really heartwarming movie with huge heartbreaking scenes, wirh two great actors that deliver the love and pain between their characters, in the beggining you will feel Basha (Bea Alonzo) is the typical woman that doesn't know what she wants but as the movie advances, you understand her and even Popoy (John Lloyd) understands it, and you feel probably that was the real way to saving the relationship, yes she needed to find herself first, love herself, etc, and Popoy needed to learn to listen and not to be selfish, its a great leason for today couples, and an amazing movie, no wonder is a Filipo cult movie.

    • Trivia
Dionne Monsanto was earlier attached to be in the movie. A conflict of schedule in the shooting of Super Inggo (book 2) forced her to quit from this project.
    • Goofs
In the scene where John Lloyd gives Bea Alonzo a ride home, it is fairly obvious that the car is mounted on some kind of moving platform. The movement of John's hands on the wheel aren't in synch with the turns that the car is making.
