The movie was originally filmed in Catalan language. For its release in the rest of the country it was dubbed to Spanish but with dubbing actors instead the own movie cast to dub themselves.
Except for the main couple and a few others, the rest of the cast are non-professional actors.
In the final dance scene, the extras were personal friends of director Mikel Gurrea.
The project and the film itself are based on the personal experience of director Mikel Gurrea, who said he had been working in cork extraction years ago, and in the same area where the film was shot.
