Tales of Arise is a very good RPG, blessed with great graphics, a wonderful cast of characters and engaging combat mechanics, but its flaws are also hard to ignore. If you are looking for a long, engaging JRPG to play, Tales of Arise is definitely a good choice.
Rated: 8.34/10
Tales of Arise, the latest installment in the beloved Tales series, is a testament to the power of storytelling and engaging gameplay. Developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment, this action-packed role-playing game has captivated audiences worldwide with its rich narrative, memorable characters, and refined combat mechanics.
(A Gripping Narrative) The game takes place in a world where two opposing realms, Dahna and Rena, are locked in a centuries-long struggle. The people of Dahna are subjugated by the Renans, who exploit their magical abilities to maintain control. The story follows the journey of Alphen, a Dahnan ironworker, and Shionne, a Renan princess, as they navigate the complexities of their worlds and work together to bring an end to the Renans' oppression.
(Engaging Characters and Character Development) One of the standout features of Tales of Arise is its cast of well-developed and relatable characters. Alphen and Shionne are expertly crafted protagonists, with rich backstories and nuanced personalities that drive the narrative forward. The supporting cast is equally impressive, with memorable characters like Rinwell, Law, and Kisara adding depth and complexity to the story.
(Refined Combat Mechanics) The combat system in Tales of Arise is a significant departure from previous Tales games, with a greater emphasis on strategy and timing. The game's "Boost Strike" mechanic allows players to unleash powerful attacks, while the "Boost System" enables the party to perform enhanced actions. This refined combat system makes battles feel more dynamic and engaging.
(Stunning Visuals and Soundtrack) Tales of Arise boasts stunning visuals, with beautifully rendered environments and character models. The game's soundtrack, composed by Motoi Sakuraba and others, perfectly complements the narrative, with sweeping scores that enhance the emotional impact of key moments.
(Conclusion) Tales of Arise is a masterclass in storytelling and gameplay, offering an unforgettable experience that will captivate fans of the Tales series and newcomers alike. With its engaging narrative, memorable characters, refined combat mechanics, and stunning visuals, this game is a must-play for anyone looking for a top-notch RPG.

This is a really really good game, but it is just a little bit too long and padded out. When you think the game is over it goes on for another 10+ hours. It is just the pacing issue towards the final act. They bring in this storyline from completely left field and it kinda just makes the whole plot confusing and a big "What The F_ck?" They bring in this weird science fiction element into the story and it is just very weird and doesn't really make a lot of sense to be honest. Also there is this whole "there is one more world to go to" that they pull at the end. It is one of those "but there is another" story plot.
Anyways great graphics (especially on PC 4k, 100+ FPS), ok music (but the vocal tracks are pretty dope), Controls are ok but it takes a bit to get use to during combat since there is a couple of buttons you need to remember to hold for certain attack, and the voice over is really good for both English and Japanese.
9/10.

This is one of the best RPGS i have ever played i have so many good things to say about this game. The cast is great such as Ray Chase as Alphen and Erica Lindbeck as Shionne Imeris their chemistry and characters work so well with what they have to work with (yes i did play in english). The worlds of Dahna and Rena are really great and have their very distinct quirks to them which make them great worlds in their own right. The main characters such as Law, Rinwell, Dohalim and Kisara are really great and have great development through out the game
The flaw is the villains are forgettable.

The Tales series is known for its storytelling, and Arise is no exception. In fact, Tales Of Arise is now my favorite game in the series, even more so than Symphonia.
The game is portrayed through protagonist Alphen, a slave with a mysterious past who does not feel pain. He is charming and Try to help everyone in need and act as a protector of his fellow slaves. He plays the lead along with Shion. A member of the slave race who couldn't touch her body without cursing magic thorns erupting from her body. Seeing their relationship grow out of controversy but necessary to become friends.
The battle system in this sector allows us to control the characters freely. We do not have to worry about using SKILL because this sector does not use the MP system, and when the game progresses through the story moderately, you can set SKILL characters from that can use 6 moves, will be able to set additional 6 slots to 12 moves, making playing and releasing SKILL to do Combo more continuously
In addition to having the LV system, which is the heart of the Rpg game, there is also a system for upgrading various skills, moves and additional abilities, such as 1 attack, there will be 2 levels when we get with the ability of the skill, etc., and the ability to Evade or attack back, including the main character's ultimate.
And this sector also adds a cooking system and fishing mini-games for players to play more as well. Cooking characters will have different effects depending on the type of food they eat (like Final Fantasy 15).
The length of the main story game, if not counting the sub-quests, then it is considered that the game is made out to play for about 30 hours. It's good to wear and the game is about 70 hours long.
Tales Of Arise is an addictive RPG game that should not be missed by both newcomers and fans of the series. You will find a new overhaul that will bring both new and old players alike. More accessible and can still enjoy the battle system of the game and access it is not difficult. For those who are fans of this series and buy the Ultimate version. You will receive a set of costumes, potions to increase character stats and weapons, which makes the first part of the game that makes the player Easy to play and much more comfortable ever.
9/10 rating is the opinion of the reviewer himself.
