The ninth film in the Hellraiser film series is set to move to DVD shelves October 18th and now the first trailer for this feature is available. Actor Doug Bradley has played Pinhead, the central antagonist, in the previous eight films, but he declined to participate in this latest film, titled Hellraiser: Revelations, after reading the script (Bradley). The short shoot time of two weeks also signals a possible rush to complete the film by Puzzlebox Films, which has no other titles attached to its name. Horror fans and Hellraiser fans can take a look at the clip here, which involves a late night at a bar, a bum, a box, and a bumbling line or two.
As well, Dimension Extreme will distribute this title. Other films released from this American film distributor include several sequels such as Feast II: Sloppy Seconds, Feast III: The Happy Finish, Pulse 2: Afterlife,...

Hold on to your pants fellas we have a quick update on the previously announced 'Piranha 3D: The Sequel'. Better known currently as 'Piranha 3Dd' (get it!?) the follow-up is due to arrive in theatres next Summer and those boys over at Bloody Disgusting have announced a few snippets of deets about the project. First off it will shot in real 3D and that 'Feast', 'Feast II: Sloppy Seconds' and 'Feast III: The Happy Finish' helmer John Gulager will indeed be in the directors chair. And even SFX make-up artist Gary Tunnicliffe has confirmed that there Will be 'gratuitous sex, violence and carnage'. Boo-ya! I guess it'll have a lot to live up to following Alexandre Aja's blood and boob fest that was 'Piranha 3D'. When you include pornstars galore, a naked Kelly Brook and Riley Steele (below) making out in an underwater...

After the eye-popping, blood-soaked "Piranha 3D" was both a critical and box office hit this summer, Dimension wants to get back in the water. Sure to pack in even more gruesome kills and, according to its title, more nudity, "Pirahna 3 Dd" is on its way.
According to Deadline Hollywood, Dimension wants to have "Piranha 3 Dd" in theaters by late August 2011. John Gulager, of "Project Greenlight" fame and director of guilty pleasure creature-feature "Feast," is set to direct, while "Saw 3D" scribes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan will write.
Melton and Dunstan got their start on "Feast" before writing four "Saw" sequels. Gulager directed two sequels to "Feast," "Feast II: Sloppy Seconds" and "Feast III: The Happy Finish."
The first "Piranha 3D" lifted its name and fish from the 1978 cult classic (and it's James Cameron-directed sequel), but with a brand new story. In the film, Elisabeth Shue played Sheriff Julie Forester,...

This writer hit Scream 2010 (held at the Greek Theatre in La) and its after party (at the Music Box in Hollywood) this past Saturday night, and while we’ll be bleeding out a number of the interviews we conducted over the week (the airing of the event takes place tonight, October 19 on Spike TV), we are first bringing you our chat with Saw 3D co-scribe Marcus Dunstan, who took some time on the carpet to chat up that film as well as his coming flick The Collection and more.
No lie: I dig Dunstan, he of the infectious laugh, twisted personality and black fuzzy jacket. It seems only yesterday when I was seated in a lawn chair next to him in the high-desert enclave of Agua Dolce at 3am, watching together as FX-man Gary Tunnicliffe thrust a prosthetic beast-baby’s junk into actress Diane Goldner’s mouth while director John Gulager shouted,...

Another week in October, another bounty crop of horror DVDs and Blu-rays. This week we have home entertainment from recent theatrical releases of nightmares of the mind as well as re-releases of classic and campy horror, all with boatloads of extras.
Then there are other horror titles that are being re-released on Blu-ray or in packs for double dipping. On top of that, horror offerings from Asia, past seasons of TV shows, manga, novels, and even video games are all vying for our pocketbooks. And we still have four more weeks of October to go.
Next year October needs to begin in August.
Human Centipede: First Sequence
Directed by Tom Six
Human Centipede: First Sequence (review) was a sensation ever since its first mention. Stephen Colbert even talked about it at the 2010 Emmys Awards broadcast! The premise cannot be simpler. Two pretty American girls are on a road trip through Europe.

“Suckazzz…” —John Gulager, Feast franchise director
Ah, Feast III…the most fun you’ll ever have being rapped on the chin by a franchise’s third installment. Chin-checks are no fun—a terrible bruise occurs, and turns purple, blue, then fades into an embarrassing green-yellow during the healing process.
Enough of that, though; have you ever seen a monster shit out a human head? I have now, and I can tell you that a close-up is the way to go when filming the act. Nobody wants to see a creature swallow a beautiful woman’s noggin whole, then grunt, strain and push it out of its greasy ass from a distance. That would be pretentious. Instead, jam the camera up against the monster’s oozing cheeks while it struggles to release the head, then give the audience what they really want: a static shot of the head thumping on the...

Feast was one of the greatest new horror movies made in awhile. It was shocking, it had twists, it was gorey and it was just an all around awesome time. Feast 2 caught me out of left field and was one of the biggest dissapointments for me ever. I wanted more of Feast and instead we got a b-movie cheesfest. Feast 3 continues this trend of cheese and it can be good or bad depending on how you look at it. Picking up moments after the end of Feast II: Sloppy Seconds, the survivors are saved by the mysterious prophet, Short Bus Gus, who seemingly has the ability to control the beasts. He l...

The DVD will hit shelves on February 17th, 2009, and below you'll find the cover art. Can't wait to see what stops Gulager pulls out for this one. Dig the art below, and order yourself a copy with the linkage found at the bottom of this page!

This morning Genius Products provided Bloody-Disgusting with the first six official stills from Dimension Extreme's Feast III: The Happy Finish, which arrives on DVD February 17th. Picking up moments after the end of Feast II: Sloppy Seconds (the films were shot back-to-back with John Gulager at the helm), the survivors are saved by the mysterious prophet, Shot Bus Gus, who seemingly has the ability to control the beasts. He leads them into the sewers as they travel to the big city. Along the way they get help from karate expert Jean-Claude Seagal and learn that the beasts originate from a place called "The Hive." Armed with this knowledge, they decide to fight back and destroy the beasts once and for all.

Topless biker chicks, the most disgusting monster autopsy ever, and insane, unsafe, full on puking, gross out, funny-rather-than-terrifying, blood drenched scenes. Oh baby. The politically correct and faint of stomach should stay away from this movie. Director John Gulager works his sick magic again, again with writers Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan, both of whom worked on later Saw movies and the upcoming new Hellraiser. This time he's doing it without the Project Greenlight Squad, and there's a bit less production money flying around. In the Q &A afterwards, Chu Gulagar (barman in the movie, Dad of the director in reality) said: "this movie makes loving fun of what we love. It's a kind of satirical take on Clive Barker and Quentin Tarantino." It was interesting when I heard...

Psycho, Rear Window and Vertigo If you haven't yet checked out my Movie Magic article from Monday it was inspired by the audio commentary from Psycho and I have yet to check out the special features for either Rear Window or Vertigo, but I did get a chance to watch Vertigo just last night. While Psycho is great and Rear Window may be my favorite Hitchcock film I have no idea what people see in Vertigo. That film is long and for the most part downright boring. I don't think the con pulled on Scottie is all that intriguing and the hokey dialogue is just too much to bear. The AFI recently named Vertigo the ninth best American movie ever made, with Psycho at 14 and Rear Window at 48. Maybe I am in the minority, but Vertigo...

A few years back they did a horror Project Greenlight. The result of that was a film named Feast. I, truthfully, had no hope for the film and passed it up when it made it's theatrical run. I then caught it on DVD several months later. I have been kicking myself in the ass that I didn't see it in theaters ever since, because it was on of the most bloody and unpredictable horror films I had ever seen. The well known actors get it first, the hero dies first, the kid dies, monsters are having sex all over the screen. I ate my words on this film.
This past weekend Comic-Con goers got a taste of the creature or monster from Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds and Feast 3: Happy Finish. (Gotta, love those names!) Feast 2 is due to DVD come this October and Feast 3 will come shortly after.

One of the beast theatre experiences some of us DC'ers had was when Feast (review) got a very limited release. Seeing so much insane gore and monster dongs on a huge screen just can't be topped.
Or can it?
Andrew Kasch checked in from Comic-Con with some news about Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds and Feast 3: The Happy Finish. The first sequel is reported to be more light hearted than the original, with the setting taking place in the day time. However, don't think that will impact the gore. We're told the blood will be flying like before even with Feast 2 being more slapstick.
Feast 3 will be the opposite of it's predecessor with a darker, seedier setting. According to the franchises director, John Gulager, the third will "take us down the rabbit hole", literally. The film will take place below the surface.
The best news is about hybrids. Starting in...

Without a shadow of a doubt, this is the most excited I have Ever been for a DVD release. It was revealed today that John Gulager's Feast 2: Sloppy Seconds will be arriving at a retailer near you on October 21. No word on if a Blu-ray will hit the same day (please, please, please). The monsters have made it into the small neighboring town in the middle of nowhere and the surviving locals have to band together to figure out how to survive. Like that is even a real possibility. Will Honey Pie pay for her desertion? Will Tuffy make it to Heroine's kid in time? Is that Harley Mom's twin sister?...
