Is This the Bed We Lie In?

I loved this film - how courageous!! The dialogue took in such a different direction than I expected. Really cool small story minimalistic filmmaking!!! The color palette was very different!!! I heard during a film festival screening this filmmaker crafted the image frame by frame - over 100,000+ frames between all the different aspects to the image from skin tones to color tones of clothing to create and stylize this picture - that's insane amount of visual fx work and when I heard that I was blown away!!! Talk about craftsmanship!!! That's sheer time and energy!!! Just incredible!!! The writing was phenomenal and the acting is top notch!!!! Cheers to seeing more of JAM Productions work in the future - their future is shining bright!!!!

This was a really cool little short film with a big message. It's almost as if the filmmaker had a go for broke attitude when creating the story because you definitely don't see the ending coming but it does feel as if it could fit into a larger story and possibly should be thought about a feature with the direction this film took. The conversation was heavy and deep and meaningful and makes you think and I enjoy stories like that where I'm surprised and sometimes caught off guard!!!! It takes a little more time and thought and energy to craft a story like this and I appreciated the effort of the filmmaker for going this route. Good stuff and keep it up!!!

If you like minimalism filmmaking and dialogue oriented storytelling with a nice twist on top look no further this film delivers!!! And it delivers hardcore!! I thought it was a very interestingly paced film and the look was really different but it worked for the story. It was a clean overall edit, maybe a couple shot stood out a little inconsistent but nothing too major. Hey it's a short film so every little detail is not perfect but when I spoke to other people who have watched this film and spoke to the creator the long hours this guy put in is sheer insanity!!! I know I couldn't sit in front of a computer and do what he did. Read the interviews and you'll learn a more in depth look at what this film went through and the time it took to bring it to a close. Really amazing stuff!!! Go team!!!

Joe McGovern captured the drama of wanting to experiment with different relationships very nicely in this short film about a wife feeling the need to explore other relationships, but with a woman instead of another man. He captured the anxiety of that difficult conversation between a husband and wife about this subject very well. I highly recommend it! I wonder what joe has up his sleeve for his next movie? In today's world, this sort of situation is more common than most folks would expect. It has me wondering what the wife will do about her dilemma. Without giving away the story, I'm curious what the wife does next. All in all, a good little film!

I was fortunate enough to watch a version of this film when it was first cut and then five years later to see all the work that was put into an already wild conversational piece between a married couple was incredible!!! The two leads were believable and genuine. The writing team did a great job with a moving script!! The direction was on point. The edit overall was solid. I never thought a conversation between a married couple could go in that direction and be so impactful!! Definitely give this film a shot and my buddy Joseph McGovern is definitely going places!!!! Can't wait to see what film festivals he will be screening at!!!!
