It's low budget and you can tell. But I like this small cast "free-ish location" thriftiness. The story line, cinematography and editing is surprisingly competent. I look forward to more feature length films from this director.

No pun intended - have to admit .. did not think I would be able to come up with a second one of these ... puns. Did the Choose your path with the US remake ... and I think I have chosen wisely and surely with a bit of luck with this ... but back to this and as I said with the Remake (the review I did for it): you only really have to watch one of these and they both are quality work. I gave this a slight ... advantage since it is the original and it may be a bit fresher than the other one.

But overall they seem to have similar if not identical story beats ... even shots feel same-ish. Acting is good - though the Remake may have a bit of a ... well I guess it is an eye of the beholder about beauty ... that will be up to you. Good actors and well edited ... not sure if it all makes sense in the end, it is quite tricky ... and really messing with your mind ... but it works suspense wise and that is all that matters.
