The lead characters name in the film is "Lee Southward". Southward is the last name of Director Len Kabasinski's maternal grandparents whom he never met (they passed away when Len's mother was a young teenager). The Director dedicated the last scene of the film to his mother.
Several notable martial artists are used throughout the movie. All of course performing their own fight stunts, continuing the Director Kabasinski's trademark of using "real life" martial artists, professional wrestlers, and fitness professionals. Each martial artists in the film was allowed to create their own characters "look" for their fight scenes in the tournament circuit.
