Daredevil: Born Again's fifth episode, "With Interest," sees Matt Murdock get caught up in stopping a bank robbery. However, with no superhero suit at his disposal and a secret identity to protect, the Man Without Fear has the odds stacked against him.
Helping matters is the fact he finds an unexpected ally in Yusuf Khan, Kamala Khan's father. Yes, after his visit to outer space in The Marvels, Ms. Marvel's dad is back to working in the bank and sadly unable to give Matt the funding he and Kirsten McDuffie's law firm needs.

“Daredevil: Born Again” marks the official entrance into the Marvel Cinematic Universe for most of the characters in the show — save for Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, who first appeared via “Spider-Man: No Way Home” and then again in “She-Hulk,” and Vincent D’Onofrio’s Wilson Fisk, who appeared in “Hawkeye” and “Echo.”
The original Netflix series was technically set within the larger MCU, but rarely even indulged in references and kept mainly to its own corner of street-level heroes. Up until this point, “Born Again” has followed suit and hasn’t featured any major crossovers with the MCU at large, aside from a couple of references here and there.
Well, that changed with Episode 5, but if you haven’t kept up with the other Marvel shows on Disney+, you might be a little confused about how.

This article contains spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Episodes 5 & 6.
Daredevil: Born Again just broke from convention and dropped two new episodes on Disney+. While previous live-action MCU series have had two episode premieres, including Daredevil: Born Again, and some, like Agatha All Along, aired two-episode finales, none have aired two episodes back to back in the middle of the run. The fifth episode hinted at a potential MCU team-up that nobody could have expected: Daredevil and Ms. Marvel.
Daredevil is no stranger to teaming up with other heroes, as Matt Murdock previously joined Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in The Defenders, and this season of Daredevil: Born Again has already shown Matt Murdock reuniting with Frank Castle / The Punisher. Fans even hope to see Daredevil and Spider-Man share the screen after their alter egos were seen together in Spider-Man: No Way Home. Matt Murdock even appeared in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law,...

Although a follow-up to season 1 of She-Hulk seems unlikely as of now, we might finally have something to go by regarding Maslany’s Marvel future.

Recent rumors have claimed that the Young Avengers Disney+ series - which was originally envisioned as a movie - has been rebranded as Champions, and we're now hearing that the project has enlisted a writer.
According to Nexus Point News, who has broken a lot of news stories before the trades, Rachna Fruchbom has been tapped to write the series, and will presumably serve as showrunner/executive producer.
Fruchbom currently writes and executive produces Apple TV+’s Shrinking, and has previously served as a co-executive producer and writer on And Just Like That… and Fresh Off The Boat. She has also worked on NBC’s Parks and Recreation.
The show's roster is believed to be a mixture of characters from both teams. There does tend to be at least some crossover between the Young Avengers and the Champions in the comics, but the latter's original line-up included Miles Morales (Spider-Man...

‘She-Hulk: Attorney at Law’ was a unique show for the MCU when it was released. Since Deadpool hadn’t joined the franchise yet, Tatiana Maslany’s character became the first MCU hero to actively break the fourth wall.
The show received good reviews from critics, especially for Maslany’s performance, but some fans criticized the visual effects, humor, and filler content. However, the return of Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock to the MCU was mostly praised, though some fans felt that Daredevil’s character was ruined.
It was a highly controversial show and its being discussed since to this day. Due to terrible fan reception and being costly, Tatiana Maslany herself claimed a while ago that season 2 is not happening, even though some characters, like Madisynn, were supposed to appear in different MCU projects.
There was also that rumor that She-Hulk had a few scenes in ‘Deadpool & Wolverine‘ which were “deleted” by Reynolds himself.

The following contains major spoilers from Grosse Pointe Garden Society Season 1, Episode 5, "Pollination," which debuted Sunday, March 23 on NBC. It also contains discussion of sexual content.
It's very rare for a TV show to not have any bad episodes. Grosse Pointe Garden Society Season 1, Episode 5, "Pollination" is the first episode of the NBC series that is a disappointment. In trying so hard to be salacious, it winds up feeling like a series of barely connected scenes rather than one story. And it seems to undo some of its biggest character developments.
"Pollination" revolves around the subject of sex, and what that means for each of its pairings. Catherine tries to reignite her marriage, only to find out that it's not as okay as everyone thought.

Charlie Cox, the actor who plays Daredevil, recently talked about his cameo in Spider-Man: No Way Home. In the latest issue of Disney’s D23 magazine, he called it a “two-year nightmare.”
Cox said, “When they told me I was going to be in ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home,’ it was a two-year nightmare trying to keep that from everyone.” He had to keep his role a secret for a long time.
Cox played Matt Murdock, Peter Parker’s lawyer, in the 2021 movie. Fans loved seeing him back as Daredevil. Theaters cheered when he appeared on screen.
He said, “Sometimes it feels as though things happen out of nowhere. Vince and I were like, ‘Great! I guess we’re going back to work.'” Vincent D’Onofrio, who plays Kingpin, also returned to the MCU around the same time in the Hawkeye series.

Can Elio Break Disney’s Box Office Curse? Disney’s original animated films have been having a rough time at the box office. Strange World, Lightyear, and even Elemental (despite a late-game recovery) all stumbled, while sequels like Inside Out 2 and Moana 2 continue to rake in cash. So, is Elio the chosen one? The film that will finally stop Disney from relying on sequels like a kid clinging to their favorite stuffed animal? Let’s find out.Once upon a time, Disney could release an original animated movie and count on an audience showing up. Lately? Not so much. Lightyear failed to attract audiences due to divisive storytelling choices, Strange World was practically invisible thanks to minimal marketing, and Elemental started slow before word-of-mouth saved it from total disaster. Meanwhile, Inside Out 2 has soared past $1.4 billion, proving people will gladly return for a story they already love.

Set photos and video shared online by @petergcornell on X have revealed more teases of what the future holds for Hell’s Kitchen’s hero.

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law was released to mostly positive reviews in 2022, but mistakes were made with the series and it faced the expected backlash for having a female lead.
Many have since argued that tackling incel culture and perhaps being a little too heavy-handed with the fourth wall breaks overshadowed Jennifer Walters. So did the fact achieving the usual photorealistic Hulk VFX simply wasn't possible on a "TV" budget.
Despite that, Tatiana Maslany's take on the character was well-received and fans are eager to see She-Hulk back in action. Rumours of planned cameo roles in Deadpool & Wolverine and Captain America: Brave New World came to nothing, so where does that leave the lawyer and reluctant superhero?
Earlier this week, Comic Con Liverpool announced that Maslany has been forced to cancel her planned appearance at the event in May. That's due to filming commitments and, while Maslany has a...

Marvel's Captain America: Brave New World reaches another milestone as it leaves behind another three MCU solo movies at the domestic box office, but it still may not be enough for Sam Wilson's Phase 5 movie to be considered a success. Captain America: Brave New World opened Marvel Studios' 2025 live-action slate with a few key MCU events, including the announcement of adamantium and President Ross' public transformation into Red Hulk. Despite its spectacular premise, however, Captain America: Brave New World has struggled to make significant progress at the box office, though it slowly crosses new landmarks one month after its theatrical release.
As of March 17, 2025, Captain America: Brave New World has earned $185,396,912 domestically (via Box Office Mojo), officially surpassing Ant-Man's $180.2 million, Thor's $181 million, and Black Widow's $183.6 million. Internationally, Captain America: Brave New World's $203.2 million is still a long way from Thor's $268.2 million and Ant-Man's $339.1 million, however.

What is the role that first comes to mind when you think of Tim Roth? Is it the clumsy bellboy from Four Rooms? The wailing criminal who gets shot in Reservoir Dogs? Or is it the psychology wiz in Lie to Me? The excellent British actor has played a litany of noteworthy characters, but top among them is not likely to be his role in Tim Burton's remake of Planet of the Apes. Regardless, his performance as General Thade gave him the opportunity to appear on-screen with Charlton Heston, a truly bittersweet experience considering it featured the controversial actor in one of his last roles.
Per The Hollywood Reporter, Roth was at the 15th edition of the Luxembourg City Film Festival this week, where he offered a masterclass and also presented his latest feature film, Poison, a romantic drama he co-stars with Trine Dyrholm. The actor, who rose to...

With the arrival of Red Hulk – a.k.a. Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) – to the MCU earlier this year with Captain America: Brave New World, we find ourselves with a new big guy in comic-based films. Not only does Ford represent a superstar in his own right, but he also joins two existing stars who have already portrayed Hulks in the MCU. Obviously, Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) is our original mean green machine, but Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) joined the universe to mixed reviews a couple of years ago. In the closing minutes of that series, a fourth little Hulk was dropped into the fray. Now that we have four Hulks, how do we see the future of the MCU handling these characters?
Red Hulk in Captain America: Brave New World (L-r): Harrison Ford as President Thaddeus Ross and Anthony Mackie as Sam Wilson/Captain America in Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World.

The actors from Marvel's The Defenders saga are eyeing a 2026 return, according to a new rumor.
After Daredevil, Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, and Iron Fist were progressively canceled at Netflix it seemed like the characters and their actors had hung up their suits permanently.
However, since the rights to the characters have been returned to Marvel Studios, at least one of the Defenders has had a second shot in the MCU. Charlie Cox has reprised his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in three MCU projects to date: Spider-Man: No Way Home, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, and Daredevil: Born Again.

If there’s one thing most Marvel fans can agree on, it’s the impeccable casting of Charlie Cox as Daredevil/Matt Murdock. Like Christopher Reeve, Robert Downey Jr., and Hugh Jackman before him, Cox's name is synonymous with superhero excellence; few actors have inhabited the tormented skin of their comic book counterparts with more authenticity, passion, or pathos. To the joy of casual and aficionado fans alike, that casting coup didn't go quietly into the night following Netflix's cancellation of the original Daredevil series in 2018. Between the recently premiered Daredevil: Born Again on Disney+ as well as Murdock's cameos in Spider-Man: Far From Home and She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, Cox has now been playing the Devil of Hell's Kitchen for over a decade.

One of the biggest wins for the MCU is its star-studded cast. Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Iron Man was one of the reasons why the cinematic universe had a solid start. After more than a decade in the role, it became almost impossible to separate the actor from the character. Chris Evans as Captain America was similarly another perfect choice.

Evans brought heart and heroism to Steve Rogers and it made him irreplaceable in the character. The MCU has made plenty of other brilliant casting decisions, with some actors proving that they were born to play their Marvel character. Here are five of the greatest casting choices in the MCU besides Downey Jr. and Evans.

Daredevil: Born Again premiered its first two episodes on Disney+ on Mar. 4, 2025, and it seemingly is a big hit with critics and audiences. Many are already calling it the best Marvel Disney+ series. Since it seems impossible to raise something up without tearing another title down, this has led a few individuals to use this moment to bring down She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, one of the last time audiences saw Matt Murdock/Daredevil in the MCU.
Despite She-Hulk getting positive reviews from critics and its own passionate fanbase, it was also the target of an online hate campaign before the series debuted that got it saddled with the perception of being the most divisive MCU title ever, though it is hard to be worse than Iron Fist or Secret Invasion.

So Captain America: Brave New World was a Hulk movie without the Hulk, right? At the next Avengers get-together, Bruce Banner owes Sam Wilson a drink or two for dealing with a parade of the Big Green Guy’s problems. Wilson and the newly minted Falcon – Joaquin Torres – were undoubtedly up to the task of taking down Samuel Sterns and his gamma-radiated brain while also dealing with a gamma-infused, rage-filled Thunderbolt Ross, but those are Hulk’s villains, not Cap’s. The Marvel Cinematic Universe film once again raised the question that Marvel fans have been asking for over a decade: Why haven’t we gotten a Hulk movie?

She-Hulk: Attorney at Law remains one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most infamous shows, with its poor fan reception and social media response prompting questions about whether Jennifer Walters will feature in the MCU again. Despite the negativity surrounding her and the miniseries, lead actor Tatiana Maslany insists she's not letting the "vitriolic fan response" get to her.
Speaking with Collider, Maslany delved into the fallout from She-Hulk, which saw the acclaimed actor portray the eponymous lawyer-turned-hero and Bruce Banner's cousin. She-hulk: Attorney At Law Star Tatiana Maslany Reflects On "Vitriolic Fan Response" To Her MCU Debut
Tatiana Maslany first played Jennifer Walters in 2022's She-Hulk: Attorney at Law and, based on some recently leaked concept art, she'll reprise the role in next year's Avengers: Doomsday.
No one could really blame the actor for wanting to move on from the MCU after facing the wrath of some very angry fans following her MCU debut.
While She-Hulk: Attorney at Law faced plenty of justified criticisms (the special effects at times simply weren't good enough and the fourth wall breaks found mixed success), many targeted Maslany because the series tackled incel culture and made fun of toxic masculinity.
While the show was praised for its feminist themes, the backlash was vocal and, at times, pretty intense. Unsurprisingly, that's something Maslany struggled with.
"I don't know because to this day, my comments on my Instagram back 40 weeks ago, they like to go in all over there. For me, what's so...

While fans were initially excited about the premise, the execution quickly became chaotic, and to this day, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law remains one of the most controversial entries in the MCU.

When I hear John Paesano and Braden Kimball’s “Daredevil” theme, I’m instantly transported.
“Marvel’s Daredevil” premiered 10 years ago on Netflix, when everything about the violent, tortured series was refreshing. Blood dripped from our hero’s wounds and from the images in the title sequence, depicted against a haunting piano melody. The word “gritty” was run into the ground for good reason, and I had that damn theme music on a loop.
The Disney+ incarnation from Dario Scardapane, Matt Corman, and Chris Ord knows exactly what worked about the Netflix series, and wastes little time delivering on all of that. The first episode alone contains a visceral fight in a dark hallway, filmed as one take; constant and gratuitous mentions of Hell’s Kitchen; and of course, the return of Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) who has allegedly left behind his criminal past — as surely as Matt (Charlie Cox) parted ways with Daredevil’s mask.

Daredevil: Born Againgained an early boost from its first audience scores on Rotten Tomatoes, which opened with a strong 92% approval rate and, at the time of writing, has risen to 95%. However, critics have not been quite as impressed with the new iteration of The Man Without Fear as they were with Netflix’s original three-season series. It’s been a long wait, but Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock is finally front and center in his own series again with “Daredevil: Born Again.” After three seasons leading the formerly-of-Netflix series “Daredevil” (as well as one season of “The Defenders” and a few MCU drop-ins), Cox and Kingpin actor Vincent D’Onofrio are back for the Disney+ series.

For one thing, that seemed likely to usher in the end of obnoxiously tenuous references to events from the movies like "The Incident" in New York City (referring to Loki's alien invasion in 2012's "The Avengers') or ham-fisted clunkers like mentioning "the guy with the hammer." More importantly, it meant studio president Kevin Feige finally had free rein to continue constructing his master plan as he saw fit, which came in the form of seeding Matt...

If the early reactions to the first two episodes of Daredevil: Born Again are anything to go by, it is set to be one of the best things Marvel has put on television and perhaps even on screen. Screenrant’s Liam Crowley said on X that it “has the best pilot of any MCU series thus far, and it’s not close.” Sean O’Connell of Cinema Blend labeled it “just as brutal” as its predecessor, the show Daredevil on Netflix, which ran for three seasons before getting cancelled. Now it's been Born Again.

Review: Just under ten years ago, Marvel brought its first street-level hero to Netflix with Daredevil. While the series would be followed by Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and a crossover event in Defenders, the Charlie Cox-led Daredevil was the best series of the bunch. After three seasons, Daredevil ended its Netflix run, and the cast said goodbye to the denizens of Hell’s Kitchen. But, when Marvel Studios reacquired the full rights to the characters, we saw Cox show up in Spider-Man: No Way Home and She-Hulk: Attorney At Law while Vincent D’Onofrio returned as Wilson Fisk in the Disney+ series Hawkeye and Echo.

This article contains Major Spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again Episodes 1 & 2Daredevil: Born Again has finally arrived on Disney+, and the first two episodes feature multiple time jumps that will throw viewers for a loop. Ever since the events of Avengers: Endgame, the MCU has been operating on a five-year time jump that, for a while, was well ahead of the viewers. This has led to a great deal of confusion among audience members, wondering when each project is supposed to take place, particularly in relationship to one another, since the year a project came out does not always signify the year it takes place as it did during the Infinity Saga.
