‘Blood in Them Hills’ VOD Review
Image
Stars: Chris Cleveland, Bill Wetherill, Heather Renee Wake, Kellen Garner, Chade Green, Aria Song | Written by Kellen Garner | Directed by Christopher Sheffield, Kellen Garner

I was just thinking the other day that it had been a while since I’d reviewed a western and then along comes Blood in Them Hills a tale of outlaws stolen gold, hostile Apaches and a Wendigo.

In a cabin outside of town a badly injured man begins to act strangely as his daughter pulls a tooth out of his infected shoulder. In the midst of this Apaches attack the cabin and he announces “I’m awake!” before attacking his family.

Back in town the Christmas festivities are taking a dark turn as a mob surrounds the jail looking to lynch one of the prisoners Mack for allegedly killing one of the townsfolk. Far from being afraid, he talks tough as the doctor stitches him up.

Come Out Fighting Review: A Flawed but Appreciated Account of the 761st Tank Battalion
Image
Come Out Fighting spotlights the courage and heroism of Black soldiers during World War II. The despicable racism faced at home reared its ugly head on European battlefields during the war. The film is a fictionalized account of the 761st Tank Battalion aka the Black Panthers. They join the hunt for a downed pilot and missing officer trapped behind enemy lines. Moments of genuine camaraderie are muddied by low-budget visual effects, questionable editing, and poorly defined, generic Nazi antagonists. Come Out Fighting has good intentions but struggles to be rousing and cinematic.

Lt. Frank Ross (Kellan Lutz) checks the fuel gauge on his P-51 Mustang fighter. He's almost empty. Wingman Lt. Mike Rawlings (Andrew Stecker) is in the same situation. They decide to end their recon mission when a German supply train comes into view. The pilots dutifully destroy the enemy but don't see a Messerschmitt jet racing towards them.

Dolph Lundgren reveals he’s been battling cancer for the past 8 years
Image
If you need proof that you never know what’s going on in people’s lives before you get a look behind the beaded curtain, I’ve got a story for you. Rocky IV and The Expendables franchise star Dolph Lundgren revealed he’s been battling cancer for the past eight years. During a nationally syndicated interview on In Depth With Graham Bensinger, Lundgren said he’d been diagnosed with lung cancer in 2015.

While Lundgren says he went into remission, the cancer returned with a vengeance in 2020. His doctor gave him a terminal diagnosis, saying he only had 2-3 years to live. When the actor’s cancer returned, Lundgren’s fiancée Emma Krokdal said the doctors found tumors in his lungs, spine, and kidneys. Dolph made peace with the diagnosis, thinking he would die within a finite period.

Thankfully, this report has a silver lining. Lundgren sought a second opinion from Dr.
