This is the first of three short films with a common theme that Brian likes to refer to as; "The Bacteria Trinity".
This story was conceived when Brian, having suffered a sore throat, was swabbed for streptococcus and, when the results came back negative, the doctor informed him that they found yeast cells in his throat. Brian there and then realized he was being consumed by his passion for sourdough bread.
Brian baked 15 loaves of bread as well as prepared dough and sourdough starter for the various different shots. All of which, were gobbled up by the crew.
The yeast monster in the final scene was comprised mostly of oatmeal. The prosthetics were made by Brian and applied by the make up artist, Deirdre, along with a bald cap and then any seems were hidden with porridge as a stand in for the sourdough starter.
