Brilliant!

What people don't know is that seniors have a 30 year old brain. This show makes you realize that old people are young in their brain and heart. Jayne is a Canadian icon and is perfectly cast as a cantankerous old biddy.

Her character shakes things up by making people know that old people know swear words, and have a mind of their own, and they speak out!

I loved this show. A true representation of the elderly that deserves respect! The next time you see an old person, you should ask if they need help, and they can probably tell you how to fix your computer, or android.

A Guilty Pleasure

This show qualifies as a guilty pleasure. We all need them. It's squirmy, off-colour, nasty, and self-aware -- which are the requirements of course -- otherwise you wouldn't feel guilty watching it. Jayne Eastwood is well cast, and she fearlessly goes for it with lots of attitude and a foul mouth. There's lots of good supporting characters along the way. The show dives in further than most older person situation comedies, and it does not get hung up on the typical cliches of the genre. It's playful and packs in a few smarts too. Plus, you can binge and cringe the complete eight-episode season in just 40 min. Cheers.
