The European releases are uncut (the DVDs in Island, Great Britain and Germany are identical) while in the US, two versions have been released in December. The uncut version is advertised as usual with a big "UNRATED" slapped on it, the R-Rated version is about one and a half minute shorter.
The main part of the cuts consists of depictions of sexual violence, but a few gory shots had to go as well.
An interesting detail is that not only the front cover of the R-Rated has been toned down but also the amount of blood on the protagonist's face on the back cover has been reduced.
