Park Shin-hye and Yoo Ah-in in #Alive (2020)

Trivia

#Alive

Edit
Bears a striking resemblance to the "Kondo Tatsumi" story in Max Brooks' World War Z - An Oral History of the Zombie War (Complete Edition). Both stories concern an online gamer who finds himself caught in a zombie apocalypse with limited to no skills to survive. This movie is set in Korea and Brooks' story is set in Japan.
An Instagram account for Oh Joon-woo was created to promote the film.
The top of the global rankings for #Alive is the first record among Korean movies released on Netflix.
This is the first film that made the biggest opening and surpassed one million viewers at the South Korean box office since the COVID-19 pandemic in February. After holding the top spot at the box office for twenty-one days, it achieved the top rank in video-on-demand sales for four weeks. Starting with this film, the vitality of the domestic theaters led to Peninsula (2020), Gangcheolbi 2: Jeongsanghoedam (2020) and Deliver Us from Evil (2020) until before the second pandemic in mid-August in South Korea.
Yoo Ah-in said that he worked hard to make a puffy body for Joon-woo by consuming salty food. Also, this is the first time Yoo appears with bleached hair in his films. He at first wore a black wig to distinguish because he shot as soon as he finished filming Voice of silence (2020), but when he took off the wig for a brief moment at the shooing set, the production head saw Yoo's bleached hair and said his short hair was better. After the field staff voted on the spot, Joon-woo's hairstyle was decided. Later, at the request of the audience, Yoo released a photo of him wearing the wig on his Instagram account.
