Mumbai, Sep 9 (Ians) Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar is celebrating his birthday on Saturday, and is going strong as was seen in his latest film ‘Oh My God 2’. The actor’s longtime collaborator and friend, superstar Ajay Devgn has wished him a happy birthday, calling him ‘The Man’.

‘Omg 2’ was the second time Pankaj and Akshay were seen together on the silver screen. The two had earlier worked in ‘Bachchan Pandey’, which released in 2022.

Ahead of its release on Friday, the theatrical film ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’, which stars Bollywood superstar Salman Khan in the lead, had its premiere at a five star property in Mumbai’s Vile Parle area.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan is back with a new home production with him in the lead role – ‘Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan’ – after a four-year hiatus and therefore the pre-release tension must be telling on him. But at the film’s trailer launch, he seemed extremely good-humoured.

At the film’s trailer launch event in Mumbai, though, he seemed to be in a quirky mood kept pulling the leg of his fellow cast members and the director Farhad Samji throughout the event.

So, when the director profusely complimented Salman and said: “Superstar shayad logon ko mil jaayein saath kaam karne ke liye, par Salman kismat waalon ko milte hain.”

He says ‘Jogi’ is a beautiful story about friendship, through a very tough time in Indian political history when there were riots in Delhi in 1984 where Sikhs were persecuted.

“It’s a touching story yet at the same time it’s a very sad tale about how our socio-political situation deteriorated tremendously in that period. I would say to an extent ‘Jogi’ was quite challenging because I had to watch a lot of sensitive scenes while scoring.”

Rounding off the top five was Warner Bros.’ “The Duke” with £500,749, which now has £3.8 million after three weekends.

In its 13th weekend, Sony’s “Spider-Man: No Way Home” collected £203,906. With a total of £95.7 million, is fourth on the all time U.
