Traditionally, castaways on Survivor try their absolute hardest to keep any advantages they obtain a secret, as competitors will often consider voting out a player who possesses more power in the game. However, since the beginning of the "New Era" in 2021, contestants are more willing to inform their opponents about the advantages they've found, despite knowing the risk of oversharing in Survivor. The art of strategically hiding advantages seems to be lost in the game, and with Survivor 48 just beginning two weeks ago, it's clear that this issue hasn't changed from the last season.

A 21-year-old tradition is giving tech companies a chance to roll out new layers of protection for users under the age of 18. For Safer Internet Day, new teen-focused safeguards arrived on platforms like YouTube, TikTok, and Instagram.

Safer Internet Day began in 2004 as part of the European Union’s SafeBorders project. Two decades later, the annual February 11 observance has taken on a new meaning: Major tech platforms use it as a megaphone to advertise their efforts to protect the mental health of children and teens.

Last February, YouTube used Safer Internet Day to announce a supervised browsing experience that lets parents keep tabs on their children’s internet activity. A year later, YouTube has announced a partnership with The Jed Foundation to commission videos for teens about mental health. The creators behind those videos include some familiar names from the YouTube community, including Tim Chantarangsu, Cassandra Bankson, Ashley Yi, and Dylan Lemay.

While speaking at TheWrap’s Power Women Summit Actress Roundtable, Hahn was asked about working on the “WandaVision” spinoff series and, specifically, with showrunner Jac Schaeffer, and the star said that having a woman steering the ship did indeed change things.

“I’ve had the pleasure of working with mostly women – women writers, directors – and there is a shift that happens where it just feels like a wholeness wanted to be brought to the table,” Hahn said. “This is me speaking crazy generalizations because there’s a lot of men that come to it with a more female point of view or female energy, but there is something a little less black and white or binary about working with a woman.

The California Film Commission, which administers the program, says that it will create an estimated 60,000 jobs and $10 billion of investment over that time.

The premium cabler has handed Pause with Sam Jay a second season. It comes after the first season, which consisted of six episodes, launched in May.

Each week, former SNL writer Jay hosts a party at her apartment, where she and her guests explore current topics. Conversations are further expanded upon throughout the episode with additional interviews, sketches, and animation. In an era of discord, Sam sets out to listen, learn, and ask questions to those with different perspectives.

A Variety review of the 535 entries throughout the Television Academy’s seven music categories reveals a surprising number of A-list singers, songwriters and music directors apparently eager for TV’s top honor. Among them:

H.E.R. (with Josiah Bassey) is entered for original song for “Hold Us Together” from the Disney Plus movie “Safety.” She won the Oscar earlier this year and already has four Grammys, so an Emmy win would put her three-fourths of the way to a fabled Egot. Beyoncé is entered for music direction and original song (both with Derek Dixie) for “Black Is King,” her musical film companion to “The Lion King” (also on Disney Plus). The song “Black Parade” won her a Grammy earlier this year for best R&b performance.

In response to recent and explosive allegations about producer Scott Rudin’s workplace behavior, the Producers Guild of America is forming a task force to combat bullying in Hollywood.

“We are deeply disturbed and disheartened by the continuing allegations of workplace harassment and abuse in our industry, and stand with those who speak out against such violence and intimidation in all forms,” a Thursday PGA statement read, without directly naming Rudin, who stands accused of physical violence and verbal torment by former employees.

The guild has pledged to form a task force to examine bullying and harassment in its membership and the industry at large.

Randy McKinnon, who broke out writing Disney+’s football drama “Safety,” will write the “Static Shock” script for DC Films and Warner Bros., according to an individual with knowledge of the project.

Michael B. Jordan and Reginald Hudlin will produce the project, which was first revealed during the DC FanDome event last August.

“One of the things we’re really excited about, we really want to live up to the name of the company, Milestone Media,” Hudlin said at FanDome. “When we spoke to Jim [Lee] about reviving the Milestone line, we said, ‘Look, we all know this has been a hit comic book and hit animated series. It’s time to expand back into all those areas and then some.’ So we’re in serious conversations about, as we’re launching the comic book series, developing the ‘Static Shock’ movie. That will be a theatrical feature film.”

Exclusive: UTA has signed actor Jay Reeves, who stars in the sports drama Safety based on the true on Disney+.

Directed by Reginald Hudlin, Safety is based on the true story of Ray McElrathbey, a football player at Clemson University who took in his brother and raised him on campus after family life at home became too unstable.

In addition to Safety, Reeves appeared in David Ayer’s The Tax Collector opposite Shia LeBeouf. On the television side, he appeared in a multi-episode arc as Shawn Scott in the first season of the CW series, All American.

In 2018, Google developed and launched the Content Safety Api.

"Using AI classifiers we built for our own products, the Api helps organisations classify and prioritise the most likely Csam content for review," Google said in a statement on Wednesday.

Today, the Api is being used by NGOs like SaferNet Brazil and companies including Facebook and Yubo.

Csai Match is a technology developed by YouTube engineers to identify re-uploads of previously identified child sexual abuse in videos.

"We use both hash-matching software like Csai Match and machine learning classifiers that can identify never-before-seen Csam imagery," Google said.

Yesterday, the Mouse House unveiled their stacked upcoming plans for Disney Plus, with many hotly anticipated projects on the way, including 10 TV shows apiece for the Marvel and Star Wars franchises. All these goodies are still pretty far off, but this Friday, December 11th nonetheless delivers a few juicy treats for subscribers, such as some new originals, a popular animated sequel and the latest episode of The Mandalorian.

For starters, a couple of Disney Channel holiday specials go up on the streaming service today – Disney Channel’s Epic Holiday Showdown and Disney Holiday Magic Quest – featuring many of your favorite stars like Raven Symone (Raven’s Home) and Zombies‘ Meg Donnelly. Then there’s docuseries Beyond the Clouds, diving behind the scenes of the recent moving biopic, which can be found in the Extras section of Clouds.

“Safety” is a title that works on multiple levels. The new biopic, now streaming on Disney+, centers on the story of Ray McElrathbey, a college football player who made national headlines after he stepped in to help raise his younger brother while attending classes at Clemson University. As a defensive back, safety also happens to be Ray’s position, protecting deep threats as a scholarship athlete while taking care of 11-year-old Fahmarr.

As the film goes on, that title also feels more appropriate in another way. We even had the chance to speak to those behind the lens, chatting to director Reginald Hudlin, with producer Mark Ciardi and the real-life man this entire project was based on, Ray-Ray McElrathbey. Abella is in final negotiations to direct A Million Miles Away, based on the autobiography Reaching for the Stars by space shuttle astronaut Jose M. Hernandez. Bettina Gilois, the scribe who wrote McFarland, USA and Bessie and who passed away earlier this year, wrote the script that has been revised by Hernán Jiménez.

Disney+ has debuted a new trailer for the true story of ‘Safety’ alongside the premiere date on the streamer.

Inspired by the empowering true story of former Clemson University football safety Ray McElrathbey, a young man facing a series of challenging circumstances, whose dedication and persistence help him to triumph over repeated adversities. In this article, we're going to give you guys the results of the Safety Suite comp first. Then we'll tell you who got nominated for eviction. For those of you who don't know, Tyler is the reigning Hoh (Head Of Household) after winning the Hoh comp during last night's Live eviction show. So, he will be calling the shots this week. Ok, so on to the Safety Suite results. First off, it was played by Enzo, Nicole Franzel, Memphis and Danielle. All the rest of the houseguests didn't get to play for it because they had already used up their chance in the previous two weeks.

We were thisclose to having an interesting week on “Big Brother 22: All-Stars,” but the “Bb” Gods frowned upon us, so we have the same alliance in power for the third straight week, and the two people who could’ve shaken this week up are in trouble.
