According to actor Aleksandr Pal, his bathroom sex scene with Evgeniya Gromova took about seven hours to film to show the passion of the main characters from every angle.
Director Nigina Sayfullaeva recalled that, when she knew Evgeniya Gromova got married just a week before filming (with a Norvegian, she lived there), she joked: "You had to wait to get married, you never know how the filming will go". But what was a joke then really happened, as Evgenia divorced shortly after the film was released.
Director Nigina Sayfullaeva revealed Aleksandr Pal was chosen first. "We saw Pal in this role from the very beginning, so we didn't hold a casting. We decided that we would look for another actor only if there was no chemistry between the lead actress and Sasha Pal . Fortunately, it turned out that Zhenya and Sasha are old acquaintances, they studied together at GITIS, they have many common memories, their own jokes, friends. On the set, this gave them freedom of interaction and enriched our story."
Main actors Evgeniya Gromova and Aleksandr Pal studied in the same period at GITIS, knew each other well, but did not sleep together, according to Pal, adding, "Before the movie."
The film was originally called "Jealousy".
