Reteaming with Bill Prady for the new show, the project will see the return of some familiar faces from the nerd-centric sitcom, as they become the new faces of the endeavor now that the story of the Pasadena gang is done.

"Stuart Fails To Save The Universe," which got a title announcement on Wednesday, March 19, will eventually flesh out the ever-expanding universe of "The Big Bang Theory," which already saw a spin-off in "Young Sheldon".

To be honest, there's still a lot we don't know about "Stuart Fails To Save The Universe." There aren't, as of this writing, any major plot specifics floating around, and outside of a few "Big Bang Theory" cast members returning to their roles for this new project, we don't know who else will be joining the party. Nicholas Galintzine has the power in the first image from Travis Knight’s Masters of the Universe. Today, Amazon MGM Studios unveiled a close-up image of Galintzine as He-Man with the hero’s iconic Power Sword in hand. Though slightly dark, the picture shows the powerful weapon that helps Prince Adam transform into the all-powerful warrior of Eternia, He-Man, and the blade looks incredible. You can also glimpse Galintzine’s chiseled physique and He-Man’s vembraces tightly secured to his forearms. It’s funny. The photo leaves much to the imagination, but I’ll be damned if I’m not getting good vibes. The Power Sword looks legit Af, and Galintzine’s gym routine has treated him well.

The image was shared on the studio's official X account alongside the caption, "Eternia is in good hands. Here's your first look at Nicholas Galitzine as He-Man with the Sword of Power in the upcoming film." Unfortunately for fans, the image doesn't offer a full-body shot of Galitzine in costume as He-Man. Instead, the image is a close-up of his hands and upper body, with the Sword of Power taking up most of the shot. However, based on what is shown, the reboot's He-Man looks extremely faithful to the original animated version. Check out the image below.

Following yesterday's behind-the-scenes photo of Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine and Camila Mendes (Riverdale) in the process of training for the lead roles of He-Man and Teela, we now have some new casting news courtesy of Deadline.

The live-action take on the classic animated series has added Morena Baccarin as The Sorceress and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson as Malcolm, aka Fisto.

In the cartoon, the Sorceress was the powerful guardian of Castle Grayskull, and could transform into a falcon named Zoar. Fisto started out as a villain before turning his back on Skeletor and becoming an ally of He-Man's.

Baccarin recently reprised her role as Vanessa Carlyle in Deadpool and Wolverine, while Jóhannesson will soon be seen as the villainous Copperhead in Captain America: Brave New World.

Morena Baccarin and Jóhannes Haukur Jóhannesson have been cast in the upcoming live-action feature film “Masters of the Universe,” based on the iconic Mattel franchise, Amazon MGM and Mattel announced on Monday.

Baccarin is playing the Sorceress and Jóhannesson is playing Fisto. Both actors would star alongside Nicholas Galitzine in the role of He-Man, Camila Mendes, who is playing Teela, Alison Brie as “Evil-Lyn,” and Idris Elba (Duncan/Man-at-Arms), which TheWrap first exclusively reported.

Travis Knight is directing the film from a screenplay by Chris Butler. Plot details are being kept under wraps for the film, which will be released exclusively in theaters worldwide on June 5, 2026. The movie will be produced by Escape Artists and Mattel Films.

Mattel introduced the world to He-Man in 1982 with the launch of a toy line (dubbed Masters of the Universe) and the debut of the animated series “He-Man and the Masters of the Universe” the following year.

John Erwin, the voice behind such iconic animated and animal TV characters as He-Man, Morris The Cat, the snobby Reggie of the Archie cartoons and many other Saturday morning favorites of the 1960s, ’70s and ’80s, died last month of natural causes at his home in Camarillo, California. He was 88.

His death was announced today by his PR firm Celebworx.

Melendy Britt, who voiced the character She-Ra, superheroine sister of superhero He-Man in Filmation’s Masters of the Universe world, said in a statement, “For 40 years, John Erwin was not only my brother on screen, he was my friend.”

“To have ‘my brother’ pass on is a tremdeous sorrow even though I know life is not infinite,” Britt wrote on Facebook. “The tears I have are because John was such a special quiet man and we shared a very special relationship in those roles as twin brother and sister…He...

John Erwin, the reclusive actor who provided the voices for the heroic title character in He-Man and the Masters of the Universe and the vain frenemy Reggie Mantle in a series of Archie cartoons, has died. He was 88.

Erwin died of natural causes “around Dec. 20” in his home in Camarillo, California, his reps at the PR firm Celebworx announced.

For nearly a decade starting in 1969, Erwin was heard in dozens of TV commercials as the snarky Morris the Cat, the finicky orange tabby who would eat nothing but the 9Lives brand of cat food. The hugely successful campaign was created by the Leo Burnett advertising firm.

Earlier, Erwin was seen on camera when he recurred as the cattle driver Teddy on CBS’ Rawhide, starring Clint Eastwood.

Back in November 2022, Anime Limited announced plans to bring the A Place Further Than the Universe anime to home video in North America, complete with the original Japanese audio and a brand new English dub. Now a date has been set, with Anime Limited and Shout! Studios bringing the series home in a collector's edition set on April 22, 2024. In addition to the 13-episode series, the collector's edition packs a 92-page booklet, two-disc soundtrack, poster and four art cards.
