Niv Sultan, who plays Tamar, studied and learnt Persian for four months. She also learnt "Krav Maga", Israeli self-defence.
Almost all the cast are of Iranian-Jewish descent, with the exception of Navid Neghaban and Qais Khan, who is Afghan.
In season 2, Glenn Close faced a major challenge having to learn to speak Farsi, a Western Iranian language.

Fauda (2015).
Season 3 was already filmed by Summer 2023 and set to release on April 2024. But after October 7 and ensuing war, it was delayed. It premiered ONLY in Israel on Kan TV, 9 December 2024, but Apple TV+ has NOT announced a release date.
