No pun intended - Hirsch is German for dear - the animal that is, in case you are wondering. Anyway .. the movie starts off good. Well relatively speaking - it is kind of fun watching an exorcism done in German language ... almost funny. There are flaws in the execution (no pun intended), but you'll take with a grain of salt ... hopefully.
Then we do get back to now and a student film project ... there is humor in it and even some bad acting is covered with the movie being self aware and making fun of itself ... and its characters/actors. Even if it may not be the best acting you have seen, there are some nice moments in this.
The effects are also good - the scares are mostly ok, but some do not work at all ... not to mention that it all goes south once all the cell phones lose their connection (which on a side note is impossible, you are always able to call 911 or whatever number it is in your country) ... let's call it demonic interference ... which is one way this would work.
The end is interesting, but not really good either ... A for effort ... if you want and do have a heart for independent horror movies.

You shouldn't even take this crap with you out of the DVD leftover box at the flea market, if you could get it for free. An embarrassingly bad production, almost any school class would've done it just as "well" or even better.
Total waste of time watching this. And I'm really sad and ashamed: Once more it's a German movie, which fails all along the line. Unfortunately, so many German filmmakers are so untalented, that it hurts.
Usually I've got no problem with watching even very bad movies. It's kind of fun sometimes. But this one is uninspired and dull in every thinkable way. One of the worst of very many movies I watched.

Everything in this flic feels amateurish, flat and uninspired.
I guess none of the 'actors' ever saw an acting school from the inside.
The kind of folks who hang around filmschools in order to get "discovered" by would be directors of the same calibre, try to avoid their saxonian accent in the original german language release. That's what most energy is spent for. So there's not much left for real acting.
The story (if any) is a bore. Elements of satanism and exorcism are forced to be part of some kind of storytelling which the spectator saw hundred times before.
The location castles obviously somewhere in the eastern part of Germany are nice to watch and justify the 1 point, you have to give at imdb, but two or three pittoresque outside-postcards don't tell a story.
Don't let yourself be misled by the above 15 ratings, which culminate in a 7.0 out of 10 rating. They must have been generously given by uncles, grandpas and many other "affiliates" of this worst movie, I've ever seen since corona closed down movie theatres.
Or in other words: This movie is very good if you want to learn how NOT to do it.
Way under filmschool level - for beginners.
