The automated friend gradually learns how to be more human from being with the man. Over time, the man's life is improved by his automated friend, who helps him get himself a girlfriend. However, now the automated friend feels that he needs more to his life, so he orders himself a female friend, but is the automated friend human enough to make that new relationship last?

A married family man with kids enjoys getting know a young woman in a virtual world, since his marriage isn't all that. Over time, the online virtual couple have many enjoyable experiences and eventually take their relationship to the next level by getting implants that bypass virtual reality googles. They build an entire virtual existence together until one night, the man appears to be drugged while on his way to his virtual world. Does his wife know about his dalliances, and how much does he really know about the virtual woman who he's never met in real life?
